Sky have fecked up man. Too many big clashes early on in the season. These games so soon don't have too much riding on it. More often or not they're draws since no one wants to lose. Plus it means we're in store for a shitty Saturday schedule.

What the feck do sky have with choosing when fixtures are?

The premier league does that.

City's great attack vs United's solid and dominant defence and midfield for the title this season? Chelsea a shambles all around, Arsenal being same old Arsenal, Liverpool probably not good enough... Could happen.
Its just two games..and Arsenal have been better than us over the last two years..they are a decent side too but the digs here towards them are never-ending...If we are in with a shout, they are too.

Still only 2 games into the season. Long way to go yet...

Digs are never ending cause every team they have a decent side and every year they arent fighting for the title.

Oh obviously they are in with a shout, but Arsenal look no different to what they did at any point over the last 10 years. They'll get max 80 points IMO.

You'd expect Chelsea to come back eventually. Agree with the rest though. Early days and can't deny we have a lot of work but our defence so far has been a real positive.
Yeah, Chelsea will obviously challenge, but this start will hurt them I think. If they don't buy anyone to improve their starting 11, then I don't think they'll win the title.

If Silva and Aguero stay fit City will win it I think. They've got too much going forward. And to think they might add De Bruyne.

Contrasting philosophy to us and Chelsea though. Both of us prefer to be solid with attacking pretty much secondary. While they're a lot more top heavy, and try to blow teams away taking the occasional losses that will come their way.

We'll struggle to get 75 though. We aren't good enough to challenge for the title. 4th will be success but will be more difficult than last season. Our atack is pretty average.

Struggle to get 75? Why? We got 70 points last season despite going through the terrible opening adaptation period where we got 13 points in 10 games, and then in our last 5-6 games we basically just stopped playing because top 4 was secured, and only got 5 points in our last 6 games... I think we'll comfortably get 10 points more, because we've significantly strengthened the midfield and defence

I'm not saying they'll win the league, just that mocking their chances of winning the league when we have finished behind them in two consecutive seasons winning nothing in that time then pumping up our own title chances is odd..Believe me, I used to love mocking Arsenal too, but we had Fergie then..now we are just like anyone else.

On the game:

Does this show that attacking football pays dividends? Chelsea stormed the first half of the season which left everyone in their wake. Lets be honest there was no title race. It was a question of who comes 2nd. Chelsea in the second half of the season were less attacking but they didn't have to because of the lead they had.

When you play attacking football you make your own luck over the season. Would Mourinho have been better off trying to go toe-to-toe because it would have given him a better chance of winning then trying to scamper a point? This early in the season losing 3 points isn't too bad. It can be recovered but the manner they lost and the reaction shows that he is as much to blame. Chelsea played like they were scared of their own shadow. They've lost the edge they had because other teams are strengthened and can match their qualities.

Van Gaal's United vs Mourinho's Chelsea is a 0-0 all over. But I think if we had more fluency in attack we'd do them because we are set out better than they are in the current moment.

That was cracking entertainment. After all the insults Mourinho has thrown our way, it's better when it goes wrong for him. Total tactical incompetence from him today.

But we have been much worse than them..thats the thing..remember that cringeworthy thread before the FA cup game before we played them? The one with the guy so confident we were winning because it "was Arsenal"
Last year we were 4th and they were 3rd.
And even if we were much worse than them does that mean we cant make fun of them?
