They're not clicking as well as I thought they'd be. Why is Firmino not starting?

I imagine the reasoning behind it is that he's not match fit enough, although he did play in a closed door friendly so I thought he would be starting this one.

I suspect that the officials are not corrupt here, just cowardly and incompetent.

which is why he showed a yellow on the coutinho challenge , it's not only a foul i'll show a yellow card to really prove it was a foul. neither which were needed.

Liverpool leading then. Is it comfortable or are Bournemouth matching them?

BBC:
"Jordan Henderson is very much becoming Liverpool's midfield dictator. He has made 32 passes, with an accuracy of 84.4%, including the assist for the only goal. The new Stevie G?"

The bitterness in here
We've had to grow up with watching Liverpool win the Premier League most years so can't stand to see them buy such World Class players, keep hold of such outstanding talent like Sterling and yet again challenge for the league with their convincing display today against Bournemouth. Can't help but be bitter.

32 passes?! 84.4% accuracy?! Forget Stevie G, he's basically Xavi with those kind of numbers

If he gets rid of that stupid face and grows moustache he can be be their Führer.

Bournemouth started brightly. Penned them in for the first 10 minutes. Seem to have few ideas since then. Long balls, but no target up top.

Liverpool's goal shouldn't have stood. Coutinho was so far offside he was half way up the Kop, and Bournemouth's disallowed goal was debatable, but I thought it was a foul.

Automatic yellow card for even looking at Coutinho seems to be the rule.

Not sure how any United fans could even stick this one on. It's a banker of a win for the scousers. I'm avoiding at all costs and sticking the Barca match on now.

Barca's gonna be 2-0 up in 20 min. They'll turn Bilbao with ease unfortunately.

I'm sure it won't be anything amazing but it's footie on a Monday night. I can't bring myself to turn the scouse match on especially after reading the comments in here about their goal.

Coutinho is excellent but Liverpool's team don't fill me with fear: too many average players.

Seriously?

Anyway, the French channel I was watching it on seems to not give a feck and have switched to the Barça vs. Athletic game.

In fairness to the Sky panel Neville and in particular Carragher, they both agreed that Bournemouth should be a goal up. This is disastrous for football, for the belief and the interest and involvement of the ordinary fan, the newly promoted club. Trusting that they are watching a fair contest is rudimentary, basic, essential. They fought hard for promotion. Their fans made a long trip and celebrated respectfully for their team lining up on the Anfield turf. The players gave it everything, playing with courage and skill, and they get ..... This? Football should hang its head in shame.

Well said. Bournemouth looked ace in the first half and deserved their goal.

It's like watching your ex-girlfriend etc.
