What a gigantic bottling of not sending off Francis Coquelin. Crazy stuff really.
Or three. A harshly disallowed goal and conceding a goal that should've have stood is extremely unlucky, but they should've done better with their chances.and unlucky again today where they probably deserved a point.
Well 3 pts would have been harsh on us since we had all the stats in our favour, hit the bar twice and both Countinho and Benteke (#2) should have scored from gilt-edged chances. Bournemouth played pretty football but with no cutting edge, Mignolet was never troubled and it's only the two contentious referring decisions that should have given Bournemouth a point.Or three. By the way, has Ings played for you guys yet?
since we had all the stats in our favour,
I'll have to create a tagline such as 'Stats' and just point to that in futureYou're almost a parody of yourself at times, I could've sworn you'd answer something like that!
Cheers for the info on Ings!
When will that be?Nice to be there and see the new stand coming on having just seen pictures so far. When finished it's going to be a big improvement on the current main stand.
When will that be?
Spurs at home is a much more attractive proposition than Stoke away in recent years. Villa away is not Stoke away either. Bournemouth at home is a must-win though.Spurs > Stoke
Villa > Bournemouth surely?

Anyone got a gif or a vid? Didn't see it.That was unbelievable.

Wasn't one specific challenge, just a massive bottlejob by the ref as Coq could have gone twice while already on a yellow card. I'm sure @GifLord could dig out some clips if you asked nicely![]()
Ah ok cheers! It was basically a 2nd yellow issue. The ref booked Coquelin quite early and then Coquelin made 2 more challenges that would have picked up yellow card if they'd been his first offence.
The second time, the ref even called him over as if he was going to book him, but then proceeded to warn him. Arsene subbed him shortly afterwards.
He's be signing for the scousers within a week had Sir Alex said that.
So was the improvement in infrastructure done? That'd explain some of the frugality seen in the last couple of years as that's when the money has started coming in for the PL clubs.
Sorry Varun, had a frantic past few days so didn't see this till now. I don't think it has occured, no. I can't find any articles for it other than Martinez wanting money to be invested into it. Interestingly though a user called @watchedtoffee on twitter is shelling some light on the board which is pretty scary if true.
Basically we have mortgages galore, selling a lot of the assets we had such as the training ground etc and then loaning them rather than them being ours. Basically all 'we' have is the players - which would most likely be loaned if 3rd party issues allowed it. It's a mess.
Christ. If true, that's quite fecked up. That would explain your frugality in the market, all the money would be going into payments for these loans. Which puts a huge question mark on where the sales proceeds went.
Yep, the board are only doing enough to keep the club ticking over. They aren't investing their own money, but rather the money received to purchase players and so forth which is ridiculous for a club like ours, who while aren't at the top end of the PL, are still a club who has potential to mix it up and be in Europe. We basically are going to stagnate - which is what we've been doing unless they sell.
