Premier League matchweek 36 (may 5th-may 10th)

Forster  hadn't seen that.

Southampton are rubbish, I've seen teams with poor composure in the oppositions' third, but Southamptonn are something else entirely.

Brilliant from that monster Forster !!

Have to agree. It's been a tough season to watch. Still we are better today than last week vs Hull where it was so boring that I fell asleep. OK it was during half time, but not done that before at a ground.

Yeah looks like it was intentional hand ball actually. Good spot by the ref.

Game too open now for my liking. Keep it tight Saints and catch them on the counter. Liverpool will only get more desperate.

Some people's is, there was some feckwit in our last match thread saying he wasn't watching our league games since a few weeks ago because he considered top 4 done with.
Crazy isn't it. I'd still support Liverpool if they were down in the Championship. You'd like to think most people support the club they do regardless of results.

You can see how Liverpool get done by the lower teams, Swansea did it before. Just relax and let Liverpool stress.

Depends on the margin of their loss and our win because if we win our game in hand then it would be drawn on points and go down to GD.

Yeah but that would still be in our hands is my point - could be important psychologically speaking with a few games left. Anyway, we'll beat Arsenal so it's a mute point :)

Southampton win would mean it's still in our hands with a draw at Arsenal, right?

Where's Shane Long when you need him?
Today is more about whether Liverpool or Arsenal get fourth. Arse, Spurs, this same Soton... +Jose said he will rest players against Palace.

We have to stay in it in case we somehow cock up the second leg, but we will need everyone else to be seriously shit to get 4th.

I'd love a year or two of United in Championship.

With a triumphant return and conquest of Premiership soon after, of course.

It would weed out some of that half a billion.

Arsenal with 3 at back? With Ox as a wing back? Xhaka as a holding midfielder? We're going to spank these.

Standard Sturridge there. Could pass to a better placed teammate. Instead tries to turn and shoot himself and wastes the chance.

Don't get the posts saying the pen was dodgy. Looked a clear handball to me.

If we beat Arsenal it's in our hands.

If we draw v Arsenal then even if we win all our last games Liverpool could still be above us on the last day if they win all their games by bigger scorelines.

Would be nice if 'pool lose before our resounding victory later this afternoon just to be on the safe side (but a draw would do) :D

Speak for yourself. I still think we have a good enough chance, certainly better than Arsenal. *If* Liverpool don't win today.

Apart from scoring screamers, Coutinho doesn't do that much. He has gone backwards compared with last season.

Not good enough. We're back to relying on others to drop points.
