Premier League Matchweek 6 (September 23rd - 25th)

Never a penalty that

The one in the first half looked nailed on though

What arrogance by Lacazette. That's shocking. Look at how he took that penalty

Even when arsenal are shit they get all the luck.

Feck off alan smith. Obvious barge? Clown

Goalie got close. Oh well. WB were never getting anything out of this.

Agree with this. They always avoid total meltdown which they deserve because of their ridiculous luck, particularly at home in games like this.

I'm waiting for the season WBA will finally relegate. The worst midtable team in the league, really.

Despite the scoreline its a fairly even game. Both teams keep losing the ball.

Look on the bright side: victories such as this one just help paper over the cracks at Arsenal (assuming they see it out). They have scarcely looked the better team against West Brom at home, and they can thank the ref helping them to a 2-0 lead.

Both penalty decisions are poor in my opinion, even more so when you consider the two side by side. Can't understand how refs can be so inconsistent within the space of 90 minutes.

I took the under on them this year (41 points) but I've resigned myself to it being a loss. I didn't think Evans would stay or Krychowiak and Barry would come and now I think they've got enough competent players for Pulis to easily keep them up.

This 3-5-2 seems like a waste though. Why bother if it just means Robson-Kanu up top? At least Rondon might have bullied the Arsenal backline.

I actually rated last season's West Brom but he was underused even then, really don't get it, he's not a world-beater but he has the more than has the ability to be starting.

So few Arsenal wins are due to them playing well, I think because so many sides think they can beat them so often those opposition defend like shite against them, that coupled with so many officiating decisions that go for them contribute massively to them finishing as high as they do

Peak arsenal. Go on a run and beat teams like this (while playing shite), get a great result in a game where nobody expected them to get one in (chelsea), then lose two or three on the bounce, crisis mode kicks in, rinse and repeat.

Tony Pulis is a dinosaur manager in terms of tacts. He played 8 at the back today. Not their fault, I feel for the WBA fans

Not sure why he doesn't change it around. His lost like 8 in a row at the emirates, so why not switch tactics.

Pen incident - 2:0 Lacazette brace

Hmmm, I do not think that's as bad a decision as people are making out. Ramsey is in control of the ball and Nyom barges him, Ramsey's knee knocks into his other one which sends him down. A bit soft, one of those where I'd be annoyed if it was given against me but I'd also be pissed off if I didn't get it in my favour.

Exactly this.

Arsenal bore me, their fans must be even more bored by them.

I loved their George Graham and early Wenger sides but for as long as I can remember now they have been powderpuff and predictable.
