Premier League Sept 28-30

Oh please feck off with the friendship bollocks. It's pathetic asking two grown men on television if they'll be friends.

Whereas Chelsea's defending for Spurs' goal was impeccable. It's a silly "argument".

Set-piece defending feckups are the cardinal error. Think how you felt about the Liverpool goal at Anfield.

In fairness we've done the exact same thing in countless big games recently. The most obvious one being the 2-2 v Chelsea at OT last season.

Yes, we've been poor in the "bigger" matches for a couple of seasons. You won't get me defending that.

Random question for anyone still lurking in here whilst thew United games on. Can we recall Lukaku at any point in the season or do we have to wait until Jan?

If it's like Fifa(it probably isn't) you could, but it'd cost a large chunk of change, not that that matters to ya'll.

Only ya see we left with an ancient has-been vs Norwich next weekend and surely we must be considering recalling him? Not that Torres is setting things alight but its nice to have options, we're not playing United away!

I meant not that the money loss would mean anything to such a wealthy club. You could certainly do with him back, really shouldn't have ever let go.

Im really not sure what the thinking was behind it. Some may say first team experience but surely he would be getting that here this season, who exactly were they thinking would be above him? Surely not Torres.

Yeah, absolutely no sense, I mean, even if ya'll at that point were still expecting to get Rooney, surely Rooney/Lukaku is better than Torres/Eto'o, as it is, I'd highly expect him to have been first choice.

Whats the story with Ba?

This is a true story.

I was sitting here thinking we only had one striker to play vs Norwich and I was wracking my brain thinking 'I'm sure we have another striker somewhere, but who.' Thanks for reminding me!

Think we play too much hoof ball with him, might be useful against Norwich then.

 It happens!

I'd have imagined against the likes of Norwich he'd be a battering ram.

I'd rather he played a season at guaranteed first choice at Everton than possibly be second choice here. It's more beneficial to the club long term.

City wont be beat for a long while, especially with Toure in this form

They have all the big games at home in the fist half of the season apart from Chelsea.

Away to us,Arsenal,Spurs,Liverpool,Everton in the second half of the season,

Chamakh was booked for a shit dive in the box against Southampton.

The thing is he should be starting for your lot by now as he's your best striker.

So City and United lose today. That draw at WHL suddenly looks okay.

This season is shaping up to be very competitive.

Amazingly the two North London clubs look the best teams so far. Would be a nice little cushion for Arse if they win today.

TBF Arsenal have been the most "settled" of the big teams and it certainly shows. The Ozil signing was a massive shot in the arm as well.

Yep, I was thinking the same, even tho' it was a game that Spurs should really have won.

Linesman was very late with that flag , thought Swansea was in then.

How the feck did we manage to gain a point on both Manchester clubs this weekend? :wenger:

Spurs can't overcome the small time mentality. They don't take these bigger matches by the scruff of their neck and finish teams off and get a result. They should not have allowed Chelsea to come back in the 2nd half the way they did.

For all the praise they are getting, its 1 point in 2 matches against the better teams they've faced thus far.

Out of interest, how many points have you picked up this season from the big games? Especially considering you're the reigning champions?

We've beaten man utd, city, Chelsea, Arsenal in recent seasons. Why exactly would we suddenly believe we can't win?

I'm not too bothered by the 'big games', we have what... 3-5 teams in the league that count as big games depending on who you want to count. Beat the teams you should be beating and you'll be just fine. You won the league a few seasons ago picking up about 10 points from your top 6 encounters and being everyone else consistently.
