Premier League weekend fixtures 11/12/13 August

Just watched the high lights and what a cracking opening game. Arsenal with all their typical trying to walk it in shite and most goals in that game came from quality crosses met by great headers

What a terrific start to the PL season. Both teams played very well.

The last time I remember us scoring 4 in the league was in van Gaal's first season against QPR I believe. The one with di María's dodgy free-kick goal.

It was September 2016 v Leicester at OT. Pogba got his first goal in that game.

What a spectacle. Great stuff.

While teams like Real, Barca, Bayern, Juve or Paris might be ahead in terms of footballing quality no other league comes close to PL when talking about entertainment.

Great to be back.

Liverpool, City and Chelsea all in action today. Hopefully one of those results goes our way at least.

I guess the PL really are cracking down. Just tried to find the Arse-Leicester highlights on Youtube and every video appears to have been blocked. Feck knows what they think they gain by blocking 3m video highlights.

That move worked out well for Karius, then.

Yeah, @dwd corrected me above. As I said, I have no idea how that went over my head as it was surreal viewing. Scoring 3 goals in like 10 minutes, and all from corners too, Pogba's first goal and Gray's excellent goal. T'was just a brainfart on my behalf!

#LFC team v @WatfordFC: Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Matip, Moreno, Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum, Salah, Mane, Firmino
#LFC substitutes v @WatfordFC: Karius, Klavan, Gomez, Milner, Grujic, Solanke, Origi

Shame that, I tend to watch quite a lot of the highlights on YouTube. They were openly available last year.

Should be a pretty comfortable win for Liverpool.

Not much confidence in that Watford side. I would be shocked if they managed to nick a point.

Would've liked to have seen Andre Gray start up front for Watford. He tore Liverpool a new one last season for Burnley.

Seems stupid as feck too, why don't they just put a highlight clip of every PL match on there themselves the day after each match and benefit from the ad revenue.

State of that Liverpool bench. Their squad will struggle with having Europe as well this season.

Hmm...that Watford side don't fill me with confidence. Here's hoping anyway.

As others have said, that Liverpool bench looks really weak, they'll struggle to change the game if it doesn't go to plan. I was surprised as in my head I had this image of them having more strength in depth  They're missing Coutinho, Sturridge and Lallana obviously, but even so that's a very thin squad to be competing in Europe as well as domestically.

Jesus christ, those are not two faces I want to be seeing in such HD.

Neither of those line-ups particularly impress me tbh for where the clubs want to be.
