Premier League weekend fixtures 11/12/13 August

You think? They're pretty much camped in the Newcastle half. They're doing the usual slow grind.
Just expected them to be playing their usual fast-flowing football, but it's all lofty balls and boredom. Ali's done nothing apart from kick up a stink after a fair tackle. I presume they'll get further forward but it's painful to watch this

Ouch, could've been redcarded.

They were like this for a long period last year before hitting their stride in February and onwards.

That is a bad bad tackle. Tackles like these is making me hate the premier league slowly. I mean you don't have ball winning skills or anything, all you got to do is to slide like an animal, take your man, injure him and all they have to say "but he nicked the ball".

In a weekend of cracking games, this has been a bit of a damp squib so far.

Spurs seems a bit laboured, Newcastle just seem to lack the quality to break them down at the other end.

Clearly there is gulf in class between them, Spurs are far superior on the ball.

Be surprised if Newcastle can keep them out.

One of the most unfair things in football. When a player gets injured, his team plays with 10 men while he's being treated. Authorities should allow teams to bring a temporary sub in.

Really? Got the ball. Let's go back to the 90's.

He scissor-tackled him from behind. Doesn't really matter if he got the ball or not, it's still a dangerous tackle as there's a high possibility that one of the ankles will get twisted under the tackler's body. Nothing to do with "going back to the 90's" or not.

To bad Mitrovic isnt on the pitch, easy money on red card for him, specially if he sees how Alli acts, or that tackle from Kane.

Think Spurs are really missing Kyle Walker’s pace down the right. Was always positive when he took the ball and looked to run at players, freeing up space for the likes of Eriksen and Dele Alli. It’s all rather narrow.

Spurs really are one paced. They're a great team, but really do lack that injection of pace up front. Been and issue for a while now in my opinion.
