Premier League weekend fixtures 11/12/13 August

Kola with a scorer every game. Still don't know why Wenger is still playing Bellerin. He had a bad preseason and Ox is much better on the right and Kolasinac on the left. Yeah, we're missing CB's but Chambers isn't in the squad. Mustafi on the bench too. Surely than better than two left backs with Kola and Monreal. And Holding is awful today, the same with Bellerin.

Arsenal start with seven defensive players and still find a way to concede two goals at home, to Leicester, within half an hour. The Premier League is back. Great half of football.

Whether Arsenal win or not, Arsenal Fan TV is secured for a partial rant (at least). There's no way Troopz and DT aren't tearing Arsenal for that first half........even if they do improve and win

That's one way to look at it. Another is that we've got one CB on the pitch and he's 21.

Mahrez truly is a wankpuffin in every sense of the word.

I'll go 5-4 or 4-5 or 6-4.

Unless there's a mass of defensive subs at HT.

Right. So of all the sound blokes in Chile, she just happens to have picked one with money up to his eyeballs. How lucky of her!

Maybe in Chile famous people tend to attend the same type of events, maybe?

Chambers kept Holding out of the U21 Euro team in their good run but for club it is opposite. Chambers can't get a sniff and is on his way out, though not seen Palace linked to him for a while so that has probably gone cold.

From Arsenal Mania

I know it's popular to love Welbeck because he tries hard and hilariously messes things up sometimes etc but in all honestly he's poverty outside of a defensive forward role.

Welbz, you numpty. Only player I know who has to look down to tell his left from his right foot, and still ends up falling over them.

These games with loads of goals in the first half usually end up way tighter in the second. I reckon 3-2 Arsenal, Giroud in the 99th.

Of all the sound blokes with similar money and fame as her in Chile - daughter of a famous Chilean actor - Alexis might have been the soundest.

Elneny is absolute pants, Holding is not good enough, Nacho is mediocre wherever he plays and Xhaka is a disaster waiting to happen.

Need a lot of work defensively.

Apart from Arsenal's horrid defending and tame midfield pivot, Leicester have shown the characteristics they had the season before last. Aggression and fight, chasing everything, which is the opposite of Arsenal.

Agreed about Bellerin but Kolasinac is no wingback. He's decent at bursting forward into space but he'll offer very little going forward beyond that. Technically nowhere near good enough to get involved in intricate build-up.

Well, why wouldn't she? Nothing wrong with money. Maybe he is a sound bloke though. Bit small-time to make assumptions about people we don't know.

Arsenal have 5 actual CBs, and start the season playing 3 fullbacks and 1 CB

mental weakness still there, too

at least they're playing some nice football when they don't disconnect their brains

This could've been some team with a better midfielder than the very good Elneny, who is their best player to play next to Xhaka, by far. And maybe a manager who's capable of instilling trust and belief in his players...
