Premiere League Matchday 10

Laporte was crying so now he starts every game but Stones' the better player and has been for last 15 months. Laporte never recovered from that injury, his passing is much worse ans has 1-2 brain farts every game.
Red card for Laporte now

City are half the team they were last season. The league is between Liverpool and Chelsea

Considering Zaha doesn't even have possession of ball really a bit harsh. See both sides though

They beat Palace 7-0 last December and were cruising. They then just about made top 4. Just reminding everyone titles are not won in October!

That was a freak season, but yep very true.
Like people had written City off after the first 6 weeks and then won the title.

Who was that guy who said City were playing with 10 men and pointed out Laporte specifically? Prophet

Zaha will get sent off today, probably another City player too.

All over the Toon, but build up slow. Final ball every time. Lovely Ziyech finish but offside.

City down to 10? If they lose, i guess the ref is bent as fcuk or been paid off???

tbf, whilst i think it will be between the 3 you mentioned, until end of January there's not really much point judging the table. Unless someone is 10-15 pts ahead by xmas, which is probably unlikely

So are you gonna manage to break them down or end up with a no goal game ?

I know, but I've also been on the end of it because of a spelling error!

If it was spelling one of our own player's names wrongly, I think you deserve even harsher punishment!

My Chelsea pal is adamant that you guys are victims of some repeated corruption and when I laugh at him, he says I wouldn't understand as a United fan

Well, in my defence, I was undone by spell check and a mate with a similar name!

No defence, and I for one would strongly argue for your removal from not just this site, but potentially the whole internet.

:wenger:

So many Chelsea fans on this forum after Tuchel made them competitive

Wouldn’t write city off at all. They could still win this game even with 10 and they’ve started seasons slowly before. This isn’t even that bad. But we collapsed because of a freak run of injuries at CB.

Na, the pattern with City is set. They won the league last year by going on this ridiculous defensive run that torpedoed them past us. That was a freak run made possible by the opposition not knowing how to play against a false 9 that kept the ball in midfield and having Dias be a beast.
Weird fact, if Palace pick up a win here then we need a win to go 3 behind them with the Manchester derby next week where Ole has a supernatural hold on Pep. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that this time next week we are level on points with each other. That isnt league winning form

There is more competition I think, in the sense that no team outside the top 3 stands out, with the rest all being flawed. United, Leicester, Arsenal, West Ham and even Spurs can find themselves in a strong position if they go on a bit of a run.
Less competition in that there’s no elite side going for 4th. Before the season we all would have assumed that the top four sides were impenetrable. That’s not the case = worse competition for that spot.

They've outplayed Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and Liverpool at Anfield this season to be fair.. City's top level seems to be absurdly high, but they're prone to having off games where they just don't get the job done. The team that wins the league is the one who gets the routine wins consistently, Chelsea/Liverpool may have the edge at grinding out results.

You might say at some point not having enough out and out goalscorers was bound to catch up with City.

This season could be set up to follow the same pattern as 19/20 where City were miles ahead of everyone in all performance metrics like xG and xPTS but somehow conspired to finish 18 points behind Liverpool.

I am dreading our match today, I just know that it is going to be another frustrating day for us. Arsenal Won, Liverpool Cruising and soon City and Chelsea will get their goals. Whereas if we had sacked Ole last week, everybody would have been up for his first match.

Once again this spineless board has shown they have no ambition and they are just happy to have yes man as managers, regardless of their actual managerial capabilities. I won't be surprised if they opt for Brandon Rogers which will further show the world how clueless we are as a club. Whereas the likes of Conte and Zidane are available and will be happy to join.
And things could get even worse as I think you will win, today!

playing devils advocate, if you lose today, do you think OGS has to go before City?
