Premiere League Matchday 10

Let's not forget how many times Gundogan saved City last season. That's just impossible to repeat. Now you have De Bruyne who's been absolutely terrible this season, Sterling scored 2 in last 35 games, Grealish fallen apart in last 4-5 weeks, Mahrez will score 7-8 in league at best, Bernardo maybe 3-4, Jesus 10-12 if he plays up front... Like I said: when you watch City regularly this is hardly a big surprise.

I’d argue they stiched those runs together when they were the best side in the league and they knew it. It’s not even Liverpools winning season but when they were under pressure in the run in season prior they won a lot of games by the odd goal and were extremely nervy. Just before Liverpool caught them they were excellent, as soon as the Scousers were on them then the majesty disappeared.
I don’t think they ever got that confidence back and they have been flakey in front of goal ever since, even last season imo.

They were in 7th place last season after a dreadful start when they turned it round went on a run of 13 wins on the spin (21 in all comps, an English record) so I’m not sure what you say is really accurate.

Anyone who doesn’t think Potter deserves a crack with a big club is looney.

Good weekend for Chelsea. If ever there was a time for United to be up for a game this is it.
Why Spurs didn't go for him in the summer is beyond me. Going for Nuno instead was such a bad decision.

First look at the Man Utd line up. That is nice to let Conte take a good look at players in these roles in the El Sackico

What a fantastic weekend for us so far! No Lukaku, no Werner, no Mount, no Kovacic. Fantastic 2nd half and brilliant results elsewhere.

Now hopefully a draw for United v Spurs.

What a talent Conor Gallagher is. He is on loan at Crystal Palace this season from Chelsea, but he is going to be a great midfielder for Chelsea in the future.

Seriously impressive last 30 minutes from us. Very sterile and frustrating before that, like Sarri football in some ways.

Just noticed the thread title, can at least spell the league right !

Unlike of Liverpool under Klopp but did they lose the run of themselves with last Sundays result?

Lucky for Liverpool when they drop unexpected points Man City lose.

But, like us, the went in undercooked and played a game less than everyone bar us until January odd so the table didn’t tell the whole truth. Even last season is a bit of an anomaly with no crowds so the best training crowd squad controlled training ground conditions really well.
All I know is City will be nowhere this season. 6 games this season without a goal already when they went the entirety of last season only having 6 goalless games. They were doomed as soon as they didn’t sign a striker and signed a winger in an already strong position that scores less than Sterling and isn’t as good all round as Foden. I honestly can’t see what’s so controversial about this.

So frustrating. I can see more draws this season. Chelsea should win the league at a canter, with Lampard's team.

Really looking forward to this Utd game to save my evening.

Maybe Ole was sacked on Monday and Is now our caretaker manager for the next 3 games and Conte has picked today’s team.

Chelsea have a +22 goal difference advantage over United after only 10 games. I am fairly certain this has never been achieved before by Chelsea.

I wonder if Solskjaer played a back three because he wanted to play Varane and Lindelof but didn’t want to drop his captain.

Think he's worried about their transition defence and figured 3 CBs would be the best way to fix it

Still...

Yeah the Sancho signing was weird.

Sancho was a bit weird considering 'that' midfield but fair enough considering they've been screaming for a right winger. But the Ronaldo signing was fatal. Think Grealish signing for City and multiply it by 100.

SIIIIUUUUUUUUUUUU!!

What a finish from Ronaldo. Literally does nothing all game and then a world class finish.
