Premiership: Wigan Athletic vs United, 06/03/06

Na he shouldn't have..
Our 4 are gonna have to come in the second half I guess.

Well this is shit.

Players in our team looking like they can't be arsed. The usual suspects

Rio should have been booked earlier for that rugby tackle.

Actually, if we in the case for justice, the whole move should have been stopped a second before because Roberts was holding Rio.

I would rather be tortured by russian mobs than watching our central midfield again.

More effort and be clinical in the 2nd half!! We are not creating enough clear chances and we sure as hell aint takin advantage of them. Will someone please focus in front of goal and get us in front!

It might not look so bad, should Giggs be arsed to break into a sweat.
and O'Shea is always out of position, horribly.

we haven't created any clear cut chances yet. We are losing the ball in midfield, and our strikers are not keeping possession in Wigan's half.

Fletcher should be on for O'shea and Ruud on for Saha 2nd half

Dropping points here would be a big mistake considering they don't have the best defence

Srappy fisrt half. But if we avoid defeat we will go second with a game in hand.

They were holding each other, and then Rio rugby tackled him when he got away.

Let's be honest. United players have little to play for this season except not getting injured before the World Cup.

The fact that we don't have a central midfield means that we cannot control games like we used to. That is why we seem to struggle frequently. We spend half the time trying to get the ball back, and when we do, everything thas to happen at pace otherwise we will lose the ball again.

There is no one who can win the ball / break down opposing threats, and also keep the ball in the middle of the park.

One thing that bothers me, I know Keano embodied Manchester United for so long, but isn't it time the fans stopped singing his name at matches? I wish they would just get behind the players out on the pitch.

I love Keano for all that he's done for our club. But I support United, and will cheer for anyone who pulls on the red shirt.

Fletcher isn't on the bench.

I hope the players aren't reading this :D

As for the Rio thing - Roberts started it!

I have to wonder if some fo the players thought this was going to be quite a bit easier than it is turning out to be, and they haven't quite woken up to the fact yet, hopefully Fergie iwll be doing that now, cos it hasn't be good enough.

Wes has stood outIMO, although that deflection could've turned sour on us, it didn't, he's putting in the effort and doing his job well which you can't say for everyone or all of that defence.

The front 6 will have 15-20 minutes to prove their worth before we start seeing changes i reckon, Sir Alex knows how important this game is to us securing second place, particularly with Liverpool's draw and the other game in hand taken into account.

giggs is brilliant, i loved the situation where he, instead of crossing the ball, decided to play the ball to ronaldo who was 50yards offside.

yes I liked that too. Especially when the commentators made out like it was Ronaldo's fault

Agreed - Wes is easily looking the best in the back four. Each time I see him play, I wonder how good he could have been right now were it now for all of his injuries.

Hopefully they are all behind him and he can get a few unbroken seasons under his belt, for want of a better cliche!
