The guy sounds Lebanese more than Qatari honestly, I have a lot of Lebanese friends but I've only ever met one Qatari so not real big sample size.
I wonder what the level of English is for Qatari nationals, my experience in the UAE is that the vast majority of arabs in the Saudi, UAE and possibly Qatar is since they are so affluent they tend to have a massive divide between them and other nationalities in the same country.
E.g. Emirati in UAE very rarely mix with Non-Emirati and the women have great English but the men struggle to speak English (mostly) unless of course they live in Dubai and work with English speakers daily. But usually there's a noticeable accent.
Where-as the Arab states who have to mix with English speakers frequently in lower positions and have less of a class divide are near native English speakers.
I'm not sold on the guy being Qatari honestly, but then again he was pretty pissed at him in the first video so maybe he is.

Nothing would happen to him, these countries you won't get missing people like that or large crime rates in general.

If a football fan went missing after being videod at a stadium it would be a huge scandal, people who do suffer are migrant workers and nothing is really said of it.
A fan at a WC with his kids? nothing would happen there.
The whole point of this WC is to get Qatar sportswashed they want to be gracious hosts so people go home raving about how great Qatar is.

It's quite usual to see opposition fans standing next to each other on tv and extremely rare to see any crowd disturbance.
Sounds like you have never been to WC or Euros. Those seem neutral seats with almost certainty. Most of the time only the section behind goal is home/away sector.
Should FIFA&UEFA change it? Maybe, but that is not how it is done at the moment.
This was posted by a Swedish journalist covering it there. He noticed it first at the 70th minute. And yes, it looked more than half empty by then.

It's impossible to tell sometimes since many of these countries have people from different heritages and the countries themselves are not that old.
Judging by his reaction he's definitely been in Qatar a while though, he was very annoyed, but he could have been telling him to sit down and shut up too.

But yeah perhaps not Lebanese I haven't had too much exposure to Qataris but have with other gulf countries, there was a big embargo on Qatar for years
Can’t see why a positive is being turned into a negative. Guy got angry, then he apologised. Anyone who has genuinely been to the Gulf knows hospitality is big deal there. There’s a big chance after the match the Ecuadorean fan and his son got taken to a restaurant.
Also wearing the local dress doesn’t make one a “Sheikh” most locals wear their local cultural clothes.

I’ve just arrived at the fan village but not checked in yet.. but it actually seems quite decent. It’s cabins, not tents, and they have aircon, wifi, a shower and a small fridge.. better than I expected after seeing some reports yesterday
everything’s been really easy so far to be fair, took 20 mins to get out of the airport, given a free sim card with unlimited data for four days, and the metro was free too
atmosphere is really good at the fan village as you’d expect, but it all feels pretty weird
oh, but there is no alcohol here either.. which is stupid as they’ve setup a big screen and nice area to watch the games… but you have to go to a nearby hotel to get a drink

I have a Wales tournament ticket, so all the wales games until they’re out, and then tickets for whoever knocks them out, and so on, until the final
I might see if I can pick up some other tickets while I’m here but not decided which yet.. but probably a good few as I’m here all month
BTW just want to point out this isn't as true as some believe. I lived in UAE back in the day and mingled a lot with Emiratis. The issue is they are just not enough and so you don't meet as many. Also, there's a little bit of a myth of how privileged they are. Yes they do get government benefits and what not however there are some that live paycheck to paycheck really and work pretty normal jobs. I know, bit of a tangent but some would think every Emirati is a millionaire or something.
I don't know if the guy is Lebanese but agree with you that often there are so many Arabs in such states those not from there confuse them all as "locals".
If people had actually gone as far as leaving their towns they wouldn't react this way! There's been a lot of racism this world cup under the banner of "morals". Random locals are being talked of as if they are the freaking Saudi Royal family or something. What the feck do they have to do with it?
If you want to take the piss out them and have the bravery to do so, it's the best time. They will avoid controversies, I doubt people will go missing or experience abuse. They have spent billions for this WC and will not taint their own name. All the fans will go home safely.

Just checked into my room, it’s decent but the entire surrounding area is basically a building site.. workers everywhere and bits and pieces of stuff lying around - it’s no where near finished and I’m worried that people who show up in the next few days won’t have a place to stay
I'd rather give them the benefit of the doubt, some people are just ignorant (with no malice).
Hell, I'm from Lebanon and I still get asked online if we have deserts and camels where I live.

no idea there's none here at the fan village! I am going out in a bit to find a place to drink before the Wales USA game, will most likely be a hotel so won't be cheap

I would recommend going to a Tunisia/Morocco game. The atmosphere will be incredible and you'll get a good feel of a North African game of football as if you were in North Africa, as I know there's a large amount of Tunisians and Moroccans in Qatar for the world cup.
