There is a lot that can be used to criticise Qatar but I think it's getting a bit much now.
The issue about fake fans for example. Maybe they are fake fans. But let's be honest football in the UK sells itself. In the middle East not so much. So being the first to do so maybe they are trying to "hype" things up. And fair dues if it helps get local people excited etc.
The accomodation issue. Yeah I get people points. £175 a night for a tent is a lot. But again it's a WC. Have you seen the rentals at Wimbledon for example during the tennis.
Also I don't know about Qatar but Saudi use tents during Hajj and as someone who has caravanned and camped in Europe these tents are better than most houses I've had. Could be wrong just going by what happened in Saudi.
The mad thing is the whole thing could simply have turned into a bigger event than the Qataris thought. So they maybe playing catch up. Who knows it may just be chit planning and they are making an effort.
