QPR vs. Manchester United

We wont be playing Madrid for another 10-11 days.

They are bottom for a reason..
We'll win and Chelsea will beat City..

23 Feb, 15:00 Queens Park RangersvManchester United Premier League
March
2 Mar, 15:00 Manchester UnitedvNorwich City Premier League
5 Mar, 19:45 Manchester UnitedvReal Madrid Champions League

My mistake. We can put out a full strength side against QPR.

I have a bad feeling about this. QPR need the points desperately and we'll be concentrating on Madrid mostly.
Madrid shouldn't really factor into this game to much. Complacency is what we need to watch out for more. The game after this one is when the Madrid game is likely to have some affect.

------------------------------de gea-------------------------

---Rafael -----------Vidic--------- Evans--------evra------

----Nani -------------carrick -----cleverly--------giggs----

-------------------------Rooney---Van Persie--------------

subs: Amos, rio, Smalling, a.young, Valencia, chivarito, wellbeck
Prediction: 0-3 rvp, nani, vidic

Everything looks like we might see our strongest (on paper) team on Saturday:

De Gea

Rafael
Evans
Vidic/Rio
Evra

Carrick
Cleverley

Nani
Rooney
Kagawa

Van Persie

I reckon QPR are fecked. Results haven't gone their way in the last couple of games (theirs and opposition results) and their hopes of staying in the league are fading. They will give us a decent game, but if we score early it's curtains. They managed to hold on to a draw against Spurs and City, but having watched both teams it was more to do with Cesar being sensational than anything else. Vidic should play again and then be rested for Norwich as most of QPR's attacking play will come from set pieces and hoofball IMO. My XI for this:

De Gea
Rafael - Ferdinand - Vidic - Evra
Carrick - Cleverley
Nani - Rooney - Kagawa
RVP

Rafael, Rio, Evra, Rooney & Kagawa had a nice rest yesterday while Carrick/RVP only contributed for about half an hour. We should be really fresh for this. If we actually play to our potential we should tear them to shreds. Fancy RVP to get a couple.

They've played City, Chelsea and Spurs recently and didn't concede a goal to any of them. They're going to put ten behind the ball and make it very difficult for us.

I'm just thinking about the fact that if Nani plays here, surely he wouldn't against RM? I would rather have him at the latter.

Madrid's ages away! We have Norwich before that to rest players in.

I'd definitely start Nani at QPR in place of Valencia. Unless we want to see some exhilarating staring contests between Valencia and the wall of QPR players standing off him.

QPR are basically relegated already, they won't catch Villa or even Reading with their fixtures. All they play for now is pride and I don't think they have much left.

De Gea

Rafael
Vidic
Rio
Evra

Carrick
Cleverley
Anderson

Rooney
Welbeck
RVP

No we won't. Wish people would stop with this. We have another game after QPR which is against Norwich weekend after this one coming up. If any 'concentrating on Madrid' is to be done, it will be done in that game.

Oh come on, we've been there before. :nervous:

If QPR beat us they'll be only 4 points in the drop zone with 11 games to go.

I am not sure why people are expecting them to roll over and give up ? Bigger margins have been overcome.

Remember Wigan away last year ?

This is a big weekend. A win would pile on the pressure on City to beat Chelsea on the Sunday.

Throw in the strongest team out, and smash them. It'll be tough because they might very well play for a point from the off, which wouldn't be great for them, but if they attack us we'll rip them to shreads.

Play a full strenght team and rest players against Norwich.

De Gea

Rafael
Rio
Evans
Evra

Nani
Carrick
Cleverley
Young

RVP
Rooney

7 and 6 points to Villa and Reading respectively. They'll both reach 30 and could probably well reach 35 points until the end of season. QPR would have to double their tally to even have a chance, in less than half the amount of games they played until now.

I'm getting tired of the "bad feeling" posts about whoever our next opponent is, even if it's QPR. Every game is a potential banana skin, but the shitting in our pants before every match is hardly justified on any occasion.

We'll smash QPR.

As strong a team as possible, pile the pressure on City again.

Yep, and I hope we come out storming, get a quick lead and pile up some confidence boosting goals.

Need to strike a blend of top players with rotation:

So

Lindegaard
Rafael Smalling Rio, Evra
Cleverley, Anderson
nani, Kagawa, Giggs
Rooney

I have a bad feeling about this. QPR need the points desperately and we'll be concentrating on Madrid mostly.

QPR have needed points desperately for some time, so what's going to change?

QPR have been very difficult to breakdown off late so it's not really bizarre to claim that this will be quite a difficult game.

No easy games when Utd are playing. No easy games anyway at this stage of the season

Strongest team possible please. QPR before Harry played well at OT, now they're knee-deep in shit with a better manager they could find some inspiration to earn their money for once.

No benefit from involving fringe players this week, no game until Norwich at OT the following weekend.

Ideally:

--------De Gea---------
Rafael Rio Evans Evra
---Carrick Cleverley----
Nani---Rooney--Young
----------RVP-----------

The wings and centre-backs are the only question marks really, the rest of the team is pretty certain. Vidic, Smalling, Kagawa and Giggs could easily come in for this. Don't see Welbeck playing after two straight starts either.

They've played City, Chelsea and Spurs recently and didn't concede a goal to any of them. They're going to put ten behind the ball and make it very difficult for us.

Need to come up with a game plan and tricks to lure them out, also capitalize on Fabio & Ryan Nelsen not playing.

This has the definite feeling of banana skin about it. They're always massively up for United at Loftus Road. I wonder if they still do that thing where they all jump up and down and make the stand rattle like it's about to collapse. That used to scare the shit out of me.

Strong line-up is a must.

Lindegaard
Rafael Smalling Rio, Evra
Cleverley, Anderson
nani, Kagawa, Giggs
Rooney

Weak

I fell into the same trap as many thinking it was a 2 week break between UCL games but it's obviously 3. With that in mind, no rotation is really needed and our strongest team is essential. It's a great position to be in, potentially going 15 points ahead before City take on Chelsea. Psychologically that is a huge, huge weight on City's shoulders.

I'd go for the following team:

DDG

Rafael - Evans - Ferdinand - Evra

Carrick - Cleverley
Nani ---------------- Young
------Rooney
Van Persie

Lots of pace and energy in that side and we can really take the game to them.

Would be worried physically and aerially with that lineup. QPR have some big lads there now, and 'arry always likes to go physical against us.

De Gea
Rafael - Ferdinand - Vidic - Evra
Carrick - Cleverley
Nani - Rooney - Kagawa
RVP

This looks about right to me. Kagawa was rested vs Reading, so I expect him to start this. Nani is almost certain to start and the rest picks itself.

Not that every game we should be looking to score quickly but, there are some games I feel we really need to and this is one of them.

Team I'd like to see put out is :

DDG
Rafael, Rio, Evans, Evra
Nani, Carrick, Anderson, Kagawa
Rooney, RVP

This will be a harder match than most think, full team and concentration please.
