You used to hear Fergie wasn't all that because 'he spent more than anyone' and 'he had the refs and FA in his pocket' but now he's gone there seems to be a grudging respect for his achievements. The fact is regardless of money keeping any team at or near the top of a competitive league like the PL for two decades is outstanding.
That some on Rawk have now moved on to 'Fergie did an ok job I suppose but Mourinho is definitely overrated shite' is pretty hilarious.
Mourinho has street named after him in Portugal. Park The Bus Road?
Klopp has one in Liverpool, but the houses aren't built yet. They keep promising "next year" but I don't see how as the foundations aren't even in place yet.
Someone was being clever in their United thread...
Before the legend that is cantona put him into his place..

Fantastic place and well worth the visit. Did you know that on 7/7/07 there will be 7 new wonders of the world announced.

Where does Stevie G rank in that?
Better still where does the Kop rake in? In full voice on the european night its far better than the Sydney Opera House, no?
Aye Cal?, reason and logic simply cannot be applied to that lot.Didn’t he win more than the Scousers have in more than 2 decades before he went to Chelsea?![]()
Reading through Reddit today, seen it mentioned that they've managed 3 victories in the Champions League since 2009.
Liverpool 1 - 0 Debrecen
Debrecen 0 - 1 Liverpool
Liverpool 2 - 1 Ludogorets Razgrad
3 wins in 8 years...
is that legit?
They've only been in it twice in the last 8 years I think, with this year included.
But yeah, it's true. If you discount qualifying rounds.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-takeover-amanda-staveley-price-11303882Dare To Dream News said:Liverpool’s American owners have slapped a stunning £1billion price tag on the club after preliminary buy-out talks.
Sunday Mirror Sport can reveal that leading financier Amanda Staveley, who has strong links to billionaires in the Middle East, made initial soundings about the club’s availability on Sunday.
Staveley, who runs PCP Capital Partners, a fund with global assets of more than £28billion.
She was at the 1-1 draw between Newcastle and Liverpool on a fact-finding mission - and has made previous attempts to acquire the Mersey giants.
The 44-year-old was involved with Dubai investors in takeover attempts in 2007 which were ultimately aborted, and last year her firm made a joint offer for a share of the club with Chinese company Everbright Limited – but it was rejected by the Reds’ current owners, the Fenway Sports Group.
Staveley was instrumental in Sheikh Mansour’s purchase of Manchester City in 2008 and knows that Liverpool is on the radar of the Middle East billionaires anxious to invest in a leading English club.
But Fenway, who bought the club seven years ago for £300m, are looking for a major return on their investment and will only sell for the right price.
FSG owner John Henry reacted by tweeting thecustomersfans: "Hello, plus expenses. Let me assure our passionate, worryingly zealous supporters that we at Faceless Speculation Group have no ambition...I mean, we have no ambition towards selling the club, at least until the bidding reaches a billion, in which case we'll piss off quicker than Glaston after a Spurs defeat. Until then, like you we remain devoted to the club of such legends as Kenny Shankly and Joe Jordan."
FSG are wary of the bidder's intentions, as rumours persist that Sheikh Man Utd intends to give LFC as a 'gag gift' to his brother. Henry envisages the ownership certificate being rapidly given away between the Sheikh's relatives, like a game of pass-the-parcel if the package contained dog poo and Semtex.
fecking tons to be optimistic about. In Moscow, in front of a partisan crowd who helped raise the game of what is an ordinary team to be fair, we schooled them, Trent getting better every game, Phil, Mo, Sadio and Bobby playing together for the first time, gave us glimpses of what is to come. Hendo returning to his best, plenty of options on the bench, still only lost one game fair and square albeit a sending off changed it. Crisis? What fecking crisis?
The narrative being peddled by the pro Manchester press is being swallowed by some of the numskulls, who, unfortunately, follow our team these days. Bedwetters, shithouses, ne'er do wells and the like; twitter twatters, facebook feckers, instagram inbreds, who will drive our club into the dirt if we let them. They are like fecking lemmings and the savvi social media, journos, broadcasting click baiters profit from their knobendery, poking the gobshites with a stick, winding them up, treating them with contempt and they fecking fall for it, hook line and sinker.
This fecking team with a fecking heart of a lion manager will succeed. It is impossible for it not to. Wake up and smell the coffee, get on board, wear rose tinted glasses, be straw men, be happy clappy, stop the train I wanna get off, I'm not convinced, feck off with that, sack the board, FSG are c*nts, come back Brendan, all is forgiven, bring back Hodge Podge, let's play 442, spade in the ground, feck off you shower of c*nts, SoS, scousers rule and don't you forget it.

Very sharp. They want to buy Liverpool and a leading club?
I can't begin to imagine a copycat City scenario unfolding at Liverpool. I'd probably lose interest in the Premiership within a couple years.
When is one of these rich feckers gonna buy a club and just drive it into the ground for a laugh?
http://www.liverpoolway.co.uk/index...-united-h-sat-14-oct-1230pm-esse-quam-videri/By the way, this isn't just my usual default pessimism, I genuinely think they'll beat us 7-0
At least their midfield won't be any great shakes either, with Carrick likely to come back in. With shithead playing for a point as per, it could be a dog of a game.
Would be nice is Lukaku doesn't make it. Come on football gods, you owe us one.

Baffling how a so and so like you has escaped the mods with your obvious negative trolling. And any of our lot who are agreeing with this need to have a word with themselves.
When sentient creatures first emerged from the plains of Africa in Europe, they raised their shaggy heads to the cold stars and warbled: "We hate Shitcoat's Shower of Shite™¡!!!"
And God nodded in agreement.
So, ten-nil to us mighty Reds then.
What in fecks name are they on about.Preview of the Preview:
I think that’s fake and just Steve being Steve there, chief. What in fecks name are they on about.
Glad to see they've accepted their intelligence level of 'sentient being'. I'll stick to just being a United fan.
Can we have real quotes and not fiction please?

Arsenal have fallen behind Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham, says Kenny Dalglish
‘The days when one team wins everything in the Premier League are gone,’ Dalglish told betstars. ‘You’ll always have five or six in there and success will move about. ‘You have the Manchester teams, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham; apart from Arsenal all the teams are stronger than a few years ago.’
Ludicrous thinking!
Look at the table you cretin!

To be fair, I've seen equally bizarre transfer suggestions on here.
