Woy built a good team at Fulham, he could build a better them into a very good team. But....he won't, as he won't get the support he needs in the dressing room, from the fans, or from the board.

I almost feel for them...

Nothing Bizarre about it. He's done very well with Fulham, but he wasn't going to take them any further. He's coached enough decent sides, but like players, managers are also keen to take on the biggest jobs. The risk? What risk? At 63, he's not going to be a manager for too long. Even if he falls flat on his face, it's an offer he couldn't refuse.

A non entity reply to be honest. He had taken Fulham as far as they could go but moves to a bigger job and is not really expected to progress and big deal if he doean't because he's 63?

At 63 he had a job where he was relatively successfull and pretty much safe in it. Expectations were none to high. He could have quite happily seen out his career there as a premiership manager and adored by the Fulham fans.

He moves to a job which is pretty much a shambles and expects him to at least try to get the team into the top four. Without a bean to spend. The whole fanbase and ownership is holding their breath for someone to come along and buy the club and invest massive amounts of money for transfers and start challenging for the title again. At which point he will probably be replaced. So in effect he has taken over a job in which he will probably only see the bad times.

Heheh

Owen: 'Theres not been a team win it (League Cup) 3 years on the spin so thats a big incentive'

Interviewer had to correct him

try 4 you horrific little traitorous shit

His celebrations with them are like knives in the back. fecking hell I cant believe how much I hate him now

I fecking love how the owners are to blame. What a second rate, tin pot bunch of cnuts. feck em, I hope they rot.

While Hodgson's acheivements at Fulham were very good have people forgotten the state he left Blackburn in when he was last in the Premiership? That UEFA Cup run lifted his standing in the game way above his talent.

Yes thats true. I know Blackburn fans and they all loathe Woy.

Yeah but as hes got older hes gained more experience in other leagues and after the work he did with Fulham you have to believe hes improved as a manager. Honestly the job he took at Liverpool was more difficult than i believe he thought it would be, hes got a crap squad (as the previous manager was a believer in extra bodies not quality) and i think most Liverpool fans are against him (a lot of liverpool fans i know never wanted him in, and they dont log onto RAWK).

I thought the Liverpool way was to back the manager to the hilt.

Their classy support of managers through thick and thin is all part of that wonderful Merseyside spirit of Shankley etc.

I'd hate to be a Liverpool supporter now. I can imagine the calls and texts i get.

Manuel Pellegrini is the new saviour apparently, if he replaces Hodgson they will win the league soon:D

Hilarious on RAWK. They're claiming Rafa was hated because he was foreign, and that the reason Roy isn't hated yet is because he's English.

There's a thread about boycotting matches because of Roy. Why do they have to fecking boycott everything?!

Some more gems:

Being anti-Rafa seems pretty silly now, eh?

we lost the best manager since daglish because to many people listen to the murdoch press which is dominated by the mancs and cockneys and guess what we get a nice cockney manager

please right the horrible wrong of last summer and appoint manuel pellegrini

This poor lad's gone and thrown a right spaz:

feck this shit. I've been holding my tongue for all the "give Roy a chance he needs time to settle in" posts just like I held my tongue when people were calling for Rafa to leave. I have stopped feeling sorry for my team, I have started to rage. This is not how Liverpool is meant to be fecking managed. We are not fecking supposed to be a few places above the drop zone after 6 games. feck off Roy. Carragher step down for fecks sake, your time is over. Are they deliberately trying to devalue the club for some sort of monetary gain? it is after all, about money whether you want to admit it or not.

We need a proper manager. We need some funds. We need new owners. We need senior player(s) in the team to feck off. Its as simple as. feck this eggshell bullshit on this forum too. There I said it - and what?! - opinions are opinions if you don't like mine you know where you can go too.

There's a thread about a photo of Torres and a ball with 'the Sun' on it

Benitez really did a number on their fans didn't he it never fails to amaze me, one of the few things Jamie redknapp got right at the time, Benitez did manipulate their fans and he did it brilliantly to be fair to him.

For an utterly abject manager you have to give him credit where its due i don't think ive ever known a set of fans become so blinded, manipulated borderline fixated to such an extent as the scousers have become with Benitez, even finishing 7th after flushing a quarter of a billion down the crapper on pure shite all it took (and still takes) is a few words about how the 'crowd were fantastic' and 'its all the owners fault' etc etc and they roll over and declare their undying love for him, its laughable really, reading RAWK youd be forgiven for thinking Benitez cured cancer, never seen anything like it really havnt.

Ill always remember the RAWK ******** after Benitezs pre match presser against Lyon in europe last year, after something like 7 defeats out of 8 with a squad that finished 2nd the year before and on the brink of champions league elimination in the group stage (that eventually did happen) he muttered the words to their 'anthem' (when you walk through a storm you hold your head up high he said) and feck a duck the scousers lapped it up! "hes one of us" "absolutely love the guy" etc etc poured out of Rawk, this a man who was ripping the piss out of them with results on the pitch yet still all it took was a few choice words in a pre match presser and all was forgiven .....and didnt he know it, he knew he could do no wrong as long as he had the fans sucking his dick.

To this day i maintain that was behind his rant against fergie, he knew the scouse fans would lap it up and to this day they do, he knew no matter what the results on the pitch as long as he was perceived as 'one of them' off it he had his feet well and truly under the table, and any perceived 'attack' on Sir alex a known and hated enemy to Liverpool would be lavished for years, even if as it did it blew up hilariously in his face.

crap manager, laughable individual but fair fecks to the fat spanish cock he really does have those idiots wrapped round his little finger.

that draw really did flatter Liverpool.

I do wish to take this opportunity to apologize to all Liverpool supporters on this forum for accusing their team of throwing their last match at home to Chelsea last season.

They were really shit...I just did not believe it.

So will people still be singing Keep Roy At Pool at this rate?

We might of had a blessing with Rafa going.

I can't believe Gerrard got away with that flying elbow on Welbeck. Shocking he didnt get a straight red made even worse by the yellow he did get preventing review.

I never look at RAWK. I thought I'd try today. The site seems to have imploded.

Holloway's post match interview was also very respectful.

>>Get him in. I'm fecking serious.

not a bad idea.
mad as a bag of spanners but seems to get players enjoying their game properly.

still pellegrini has to be number one right now

oh man
