One of the biggest catastrophes is that Andy@Allerton no longer posts. To be honest, most of them are just resigned to mediocrity. It's not that funny anymore.

Just like Leeds, watching Liverpool lose is always funny.
Im not saying gerrard and cara were behind the sacking of benitez but i do find it odd that they seem happy when our performances have been shocking.
I really couldn't care less if any one of the players left now. They've been good in the past, but I am totally sick of watching football this bad over and over again. It really wouldn't be a disaster if any one of them left, including Gerrard and Torres.
A question to the players still at liverpool who got rid of Rafa
Now it's Carragher & Gerrard's fault. But not FSW's....nooooo, they wont have that.
And this is just pure class;
Yeah, because your team can afford to lose it's only two top class players....![]()
I wonder what they thought of him when he was at Chelsea. I'm sure he went from shit to amazing when he put to pen to paper.Ummm Don't forget they have Joe Cole mate, he can do everything Messi can, and might be even slightly better.

"[Lionel] Messi can do some amazing things, but anything he can do Joe can do as well, if not better. He used to shock us in training by doing footy tricks with a golf ball that most players can't even do with a football."
I think Cole will have a very good season. If I am being very, very positive then Cole will have the effect on us that Cantona's signing had on the Mancs. A talented player frowned upon by the national side and looking for a home who was let go surprisingly by arch-rivals, Leeds/Chelsea. Hopefully, Cole has now found his home and I'm confident his best years will be at Anfield.
I don't know what to make of this season. I keep thinking we could challenge because the Mancs and Chelsea are ageing teams and have't exactly spent millions on top players. So from this point are they any stronger ???
The only teams I believe who are stronger this season are Us and Man. City. The Mancs and Chelsea have'nt freshened things up. Terry and Co at Chelsea look to have lost that aura. The same can be said of the Mancs defence. Has Roy struck gold with Cole, role on the season.

It's just their Off The Pitch forum (where they talked about campaigning, their Yanks, what's happening with other franchises like the Stars, and so on) renamed. They've even got a campaign forum now!
Hadn't noticed that before.
Yeah, they could, but there's no replacing two players amongst the best in the world in their position (when on form) without suffering some form of loss. It's difficult to see who they can get to replace them both even with the cash - who would go to a club that is clearly struggling on and off the pitch?I think selling Gerrard and Torres would do Liverpool wonders, much the same way it did for Valencia. With that extra cash, they can buy some top draw players.

Their squad needs a lot of work to get back into the Champions League. Right now, both Spurs and Manchester City have more quality and depth and both their financial futures look bright. 4-5 players aren't really going to change anything if they lose Gerrard and Torres - nothing replaces quality like that.I doubt they can bring stars in the caliber of Torres, Gerrard, etc. (at least for a few years) but there are players who may be tempted due to their history and promise of rebuilding.
If they were to bring 4-5 players and create enough stability to reach CL, they can perhaps convince future players of silverware.
I know this is all hypothetical but I don't think they're in the nightmarish position as people make them out to be.

Different competition, but this didn't stop the Football League from docking Southampton 10 points a while back. I think Kop Holdings has no other sources of income aside from Liverpool Football Club - in other words, it's entirely dependent on it and that was half the argument against Southampton.Liverpool Echo - News - Liverpool Local News - Liverpool FC ‘safe’ from nine-point deduction
take the 9 points please then we can laugh some more

Liver Pool Red Sox.
Yes bring us one of those, bring me a Moratti, an Abramovich, a Prince from Abufabi, a Berlusconi etc..
I want a sugardaddy who will invest his money to entertain himself and us the fans. That's what I want.
