That could surely be said about every club, no?This is sweet.

It really is the saddest of circumstances. In all seriousness, had Rafa not been sacked and had the ownership situation resolved itself like it did we would have won the league at least once in the next two seasons.
When AA came into the team we started to control games while also producing much more fluid and effective attacks.
At the end of last year Rafa had completed his task of transforming the side. Our team began the season as a struggling attacking unit that was far too static and ended the season with beautiful free-flowing football, wonderfully highlighted by the attacking move against Atletico.
To be honest, what is happening to Rafa at Inter is his own fault ... He should have never accepted to COACH an aging squad that has just won everything, with such severe financial limitations (Inter have made a €45 million profit this summer) ... The injuries were always going to happen, especially after Inter's squad playing 60+ games last season, followed by a World Cup and no rest for the top players ... I am not stating this as an excuse for Rafa ... He is a smart man and should have known better ...
dont think its just that - you just need to see what happened with our squads mentality when they found out that there was going to be feck all investment in it last season, just imagine if you'd won everything and you found out that they were cutting back bigtime
I feel sorry for Rafa, he's just got absolutely no luck with owners does he? He ends up with the cancers here and then escapes to Inter. We all expect him to do well and he ends up having to sell one of his young stars and make do with what he has because the owner wants to cut his losses.
Poor fecker.
You have got to love the benitez obsession.
i don't understand it for a second tbh![]()
They love him so much because of that press conference when he stood up against Meeeeester Fergouson.
and ironically threw away their best chance of winning the league for YEARS

You know what, I'd LOVE to see FSW back with the scousers
Rafa was behind the Liverpool win yesterday - he used up all his FSWness and was unable to help his current team to victory today - an incredible sacrifice from a misunderstood superbeing
That would explain why a bewildered Eto'o found his manager in the dressing room, dancing around a picture of Stevie G at half-time.
You have got to love the benitez obsession.
Why oh why do they have this obsession with the FSW?!
The same question could be asked of here.

Rafa is sacked by Inter.
Rafa returns after outstanding work by some Internet Terrorists.
Rafa stabalises the team.
Rafa spends £30m in Jan and brings Eto to Anfield, brings back Aquilani and Insua, and Aurellio stays fit.
We then go on a mad run of winning games. Hammer the Mancs 5-0 at home, and win the league on goal difference.
Mr Alex Ferguson is seen lying drunk in his own piss and vomit underneath Tevez's "welcome to Manchester" poster.
Then I woke up.....
Or directed at the Arsenal re. Wenger.
I thought he made a mistake going there in the firat place. He was damned if he won and damned if he didnt win.
The Damned Internazionale
how would people feel if ancelotti left chelsea, came here, rafa left inter and went to stamford bridge?
Frightened. If Roman spends money this Jan (and he will cause it's the last time he will be able to buy big) and Rafa goes there they could dominate for a few years yet.
Who is obsessed with Wenger? The Caf? A few might be but I'd say just a few. He got boring ages ago (when he stopped winning stuff).
Benitez provides endless humour for being utterly clueless - he should leave topflight footy to the proper managers and have a few years out. Maybe he could open his own restaurant or something?
I never believed we could win it, not for a second. Not until today. Cool
When I came out of my meeting everyone was saying that Benitez lost the plot and had an eppy in front of the cameras - so I was expecting bad, but my surprise was nice!
If what Benitez has said is going to effect anyone, it will effect Utd - who is under the pressure this weekend now? Don't the manc fans get it? Laughing
It wasn't a mindless rant like Keegan's, it wasn't a moronic statement like Carrick's "We'd have taken being 7points away from the top at this stage before the season started".... What it was is cold, calculated and perfectly timed - There you go Chelsea, we'll set them, you knock 'em down... and even if you don't, you can fall further behind and they'll still probably be 7points adrift in the middle of January.... Or take the draw, because if we do our job against Stoke we pull away from one of you or both of you! We don't mind really.
Fergie cannot come back and bite before Chelsea or he takes the focus off the important, and if he says anything later he looks like it took him an age to respond because he's pushing 70 and the grey matter ain't what it was. He's just got to take it. You're cheats who bully officials, cry about fixture schedules without warrant and ignore FA initiatives (With facts to back it up). Now get on with your clash against Chelsea... No wonder Rafa looked so pleased with himself throughout that interview Laughing
If Jose had said it, everyone would have said it was genius.
He's a sly old viper is our Benitez - I love him more each and every day. worship
"Does what I've just said make sense at all?"

don't forget he has a kebab shop at Anfield - Istanbul Nights
In every great epic adventure, and supporting LFC is an epic, there is always someone who has to bravely sacrifice themselves selflessly before the bittersweet victory is won. For us it was Rafa. Remember him fondly but move on.
