Not sure if its been posted before but did anyone see any of thier fans tragic banners on Sunday?

The 'we won it 3 times, 29 years ago'

And the 'scousers will always rule' one - which looked like it had been written by a 3 year old and took them a good 20 minutes to figure out how to unfurl it.

Pathetic club, living in the past.

Would love to see our fans get one for the game at Anfield '21 years & counting'

the 'scousers rule and dont you forget it' one was particularly laughable. what is it they think they rule at the moment? The History Channel?

That was it, couldnt remember what it said exactly. Was a bit intoxicated and too busy laughing at them/thier team.

When Liverpool were last good I dont even think they had colour tv's.

I fell off my chair...

From Rawk:

Kuyt, Jova, Poulsen, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Carra, Soto, Lucas, Konch would all be gone if I had my way.

Sick of hearing people say that Johnson is actually a good defender, or that he offers anything going forward. On the rare occasion his cross doesn't hit the opposite by line on the first bounce, he offers something. Most of the time he is fecking shit. Merson is a c*nt and what Glen said about him was spot on, but Merson was also spot on about him. Two fecking dogshit defenders slagging each other off, one a gambling addict, one a toilet seat kleptomaniac.

Skrtel is a massive liability. He doesn't seem able to do anything at all. feck him off to France or something.

Agger used to be great but that player is long gone. All he is now is a semi-injured husk of a footballer. Get rid. We can't afford that kind of liability.

Carra is so far past it that when he looks back he can see Bruce Forsyth trying to catch him up. Give him a coaching job if he wants it, but dear god don't let him take to the field.

Soto can head the ball. There endeth the lesson.

Konchesky, the less said the better. If football's were women he'd be able to stare them away from our goal with his sinister face.

What does Lucas actually do? He doesn't break play up as well as Masch. He can barely pass, and when he does he does it fecking slowly. I know the lad has a lot of fans cos he's a cult hero, for being so shit. But seriously we have to get over this idea that he's a world beater. He's only good enough for Liverpool because of how fecking mediocre we are.

Poulsen cereal goes soggy before he puts the milk in. He's like a fecking Ent.

Jovanovic has no idea what to do when he has the ball so he just runs. Where does he run to? Nobody knows. And when that doesn't work he throws his arms about like an idiot and gets booked.

Kuyt is just a shit footballer. He is a decent athlete, he has great stamina. But he is a shit footballer. His first touch reminds me of running into the springs when I played Sonic as a kid. Who the feck knows where the ball will end up?

Thats a fecking brilliant comparison!

Players and staff from Liverpool went to Alderhey Childrens Hospital today to visit the children on the wards.''It was great to put a smile on the face of those less fortunate than us and who face an uncertain future'', said James, aged 7 of Bootle.

I never understand their signatures when I read RAWK (which is rarely tbf)....What are they about?..Some of them have random quotes from other posters which just look retarded out of context (or in context in most cases)...I don't really get it...

Case in point the bloke who made that thread who's sig is....

"Thought it was good and Mr Alex Ferguson would get such a seeing to." - Quote from: Pepe Reina Is Rafas Son on December 5, 2010, 08:32:00 PM

eh? What?...Is that the best, most eloquent and witty thing you've ever seen, so much so you had to make it your signature?....What?

I've got a confession to make... I've always liked Daglish.

Is that such a bad thing?

Compared to Benitez he's absolutely delightful. I've always liked him for the "A quick word Kenny? - Velocity" story.

Let's start a Kenny lovefest. That'll confuse RAWKites.

And I think that was Strachan not Dalglish.

Strachan was a legend with his quotes. From a neutral perspective anyway, I'd imagine it's quite annoying if he's your manager because you genuinely want to hear from him.

'What areas were they better than you today?'

'What areas? Mainly that big green one out there.'

Dalglish.... the worst caretaker since Ian Huntley:nervous:

Ok I'll join in with another old one:

Just seen the new milk advert. Two young kids from accrington saying if they don't drink enough milk, they'll only be good enough to play for Liverpool.

Oh now that really is tragic!

- We've got the shittest team by far that we've had in decades (and in those decades we haven't really won anything anyway)

- We got rid of our owners and several managers in an attempt to improve our club, which cost our already-in-terrible-financial-difficulty club a hell of a lot of money, only to discover that the problems in our club were caused by the players, who we now can't afford to buy replacements for

- Our biggest rivals are top of the table and likely to win the League for a 19th time - overtaking a record we've clinged onto in desperation for decades. When that goes we'll only have 5 European Cups to cling onto, and that's kind of tainted since not only are we no longer in the top 4, we're not even in the top half of the table.

- We're not in the Champions League, and we won't qualify for it this season. And probably not next season. And the one after that. And the... you get it, I'm sure

- Our biggest rivals just knocked us out of the only chance of silverwear we had this season

- We're lower than mid-table, and only a few points of the RELEGATION ZONE.

But, to hell with it, lets mention a trophy we won 29 years ago. That'll show 'em! Those Manc Bastards!

I think the point may have been Liverpool won the third of their 5 European Cups 30 odd years ago. Utd have only recently just managed to win their third.

Odd banner but I imagine that to be their point.

ICYPFY ;)

There was a period when they had some pretty decent players [Scotland] - Ken Dalglish, Joe Jordan, Archie Gemmill, Asa Hartford and they've always produced top quality no-nonsense managers such as Jock Stein, SAF, Sir Matt (still in my opinion the greatest of all) and dare I say it Bill Shankly.

[climbs into challenger tank]

I've never been quite sure whether Joe Jordan genuinely lost a tooth or blacked it out to strike fear into his opponents.

Ken Dalglish might just be the answer to their long term problems ...

[quiet smirk]

I wonder if they realise the purpose of a banner? Dumb Britain.

My window cleaner is a classic scouser, KOP season ticketholder and was caught jabbering for England on MOTD when they went 2-0 down against Blackburn.

I'm still not sure whether RAWK is a serious website.

I got the general idea behind their highly original and utterly intelligent little jibe, I just think it's pathetic to be bringing up the distant past with their club in so much disarray, and with them trailing their rivals by so great a distance.

Yes, you won your third EC a long time ago whereas we didn't... well done... but you're currently only a few points off the relegation zone whilst we're top of the league with games in hand.

It's stupid, because we were the first English team to enter the competition, against the wishes of the FA, and may or may not have won it if it hadn't been for Munich. Even still, we were still the first English club to win it. It's as I said earlier, Liverpool had a single golden era, which is a nothing in the great scheme of things. They base their entire history on a 15-20 year spell of history, Manchester United do not.

We won our first European Cup a decade before Liverpool did.

But then again we great when they were a second division outfit.
