And he followed it with this (for anyone who thinks it is a WUM):
Exmanc - I DESPISE Ferguson because he puts on one face that is quite clearly for Journalists/the media etc - consisting of Trying to appear as a jovial, warm, neutral elder statesman of the game whilst at the same time showing quite another to other people/groups; One hinting at and sometimes showing the bitter, vicious, venomous, angry being who REALLY lies behind the mask in his treatment of other clubs (re pulling back the players he loaned from Preston just because they sacked his son - sod the PLAYERS agreements - Preston sacked Fergie Jr - Thus? They must be punished) his 2 faced nature (remember him accusing Torres of diving in September to win a penalty at Old Trafford? Just WHAT did Berbatov do in Liverpool's next game there then? Nothing on that from him though) and of course his constant, unrelenting, continuous barrage against Liverpool who I support;
It's quite ironic that back in 1988 he had an on-air tantrum about "biased referees" at Anfield considering the unending TIDE of decisions that goes in Uniteds favour at Old Trafford now - And I don't just mean the obvious ones like penalties given to them or Red Cards to their foes either. I mean the ones that REALLY change games for teams that previously looked OK against United like yellow cards making players avoid tackles, endless amounts of corners, free-kicks and throw-ins that shouldn't be given but are and which we've lost to on at least One occasion - In September 2004 we lost to 2 Silvestre goals I think from a corner and free-kick that clearly weren't. Then there's his blatant hypocrisy - He's got the cheek to have a go at other teams, managers or whoever else is in his cross hairs in the media - yet he then goes off on one and threatens to BAN said media if THEY ever go after HIM; As well as his unending attempts to influence, intimidate or just plain ban referees he doesn't like or who stand up to him from OT. His recent non-stop talk of Liverpool and what we shouldn't do re Roy Hodgson was quite loud to no? Then? His oldest and most hated foe returns as our manager and? Not a flicker until last night.
Oh and to the fool who called Dalglish a 'dinosaur' or whatever else you TRIED to call him? A) Spell it right and B)? Check the stat's - Kenny Dalglish as a manager has won MORE English league titles than ANY manager here other than Ferguson since Bob Paisley retired Waaay back in 1983 so just WHY is he a managerial dinosaur? Consider what he's done since coming back - I believe his hiring of Steve Clarke and achieving his first away win at the second attempt whereas it took Good Old Uncle Woy FIVE games and 3 defeats (2 of them utterly inept) away from home before his ONLY away win in charge of Liverpool? Well, I think those stats rather torpedo that sorry attempt at an 'argument' no?
As to Kenny conducting our transfer business/internal affairs behind closed doors with the OLD "Liverpool Way"? Well let's just say I Much prefer that to the Owlish Woy's constant attempts to say "come and get him" re Torres to the likes of United or Chelsea implying that we are just a selling club and nothing more - I also prefer the current regime's method to Roy's constant slating of his players - rather than his OWN 'dinosaur' like tactics (they WERE prehistoric) when he frequently had to explain away defeats and I downright despised his constant defence of his 'prize' job as if the Liverpool job was a reward rather than a job thanks to his LMA award.
Then there was Roy's regular, ridiculous pronouncements like a win at Everton being "utopia" despite winning something like 8 of our last 10 games at Goodison Park including 3 in a row before last October, winning at Old Trafford in the FA Cup being a "remarkable coup" despite us having 4 wins there in the last decade AND us beating United the last time we played them in the FA Cup - And of course Northampton Town being "formidable opponents" at Anfield despite them being 2 divisions below us. No I think I MUCH prefer the new way of doing things - Incidentally re the Adam transfer and Ferguson's pathetic attempt at a windup? I think the silence from Anfield might have unnerved even HIM as well (it certainly has Blackpool's hierarchy - THEY haven't shut up about Adam and their chairman's acted rather an idiot in the last few days). Anyway, why mention Charlie Adam with regards to a transfer fee otherwise? It's not like United NEED him is it? Which means Ferguson can only have said what he did for ONE reason and one reason only which was? Guess.
No I much prefer Liverpool being in the hands of a man who not only CAN win the league title in England but has PROVEN It on 4 separate occasions - 3 of them AT Anfield. A man who as a team-builder nearly always gets it right sooner or later. Rather like another certain acerbic, secretive Scot from Glasgow not to far from Anfield down the M62 no? THAT is why Ferguson's gone quiet on LFC - who knows? Maybe with good reason..........
