They can't stand the idea that we'll have 19 league titles, the whole 18-4, 18-5 bollocks that they have been throwing at us for two decades goes right out of the window. We might as well start making nooses and give them to them for free.
They'll still bring up the whole '5 European Cups' thing though. We can spout 19 all day long, they'll always hit us back with '5 times'.
And not a single feck will be given. If we win 19 we'll be more successful, so bragging about individual competition success would look very small time.

I know, this is what they were dreading for so long. They laughed at us with arrogance for so long, even up to say 5 years ago when Chelsea got the oil money, becasue they never really believed we or anyone else could overhaul them, and they thought that was the end of us with Chelsea new on the block.
But the superhuman effort they made to stop us winning the league a few seasons back where they kept the pressure up until 3 games to go... that hows you how much it meant to them. Their entire philosophy and history is based on having won the most, not having a rich history like United, with Munich, and first English team to the the EU etc. If and when that changes it will be like destroying part of 'who they are'. Can't hardly wait for that

Sadly not. When we drew level with them, they invented another title "win." They are actually ahead of us, they just weren't fully aware of it until recently.

Yes that guy is an absolute ringpiece of the highest order. More ob sessed with United than his own team and will give no credit whatsoever. I dislike Liverpool immensly but I do give them the credit for what they achieved through the 70s and 80s. I remember it well it was horrible.
