Wow. That's pathetic.

To be fair most of them are saying that they've won 18 end of.

Most of them are embarrassed by such silly shenanigans (sorry I just wanted to use that word!).

We have our fair share of idiotic fans. The lad behind me seems to enjoy smashing chairs and showering me in spittle as well as consistently booing people like Gibson and Evans.

I imagine amoebas have more brain cells than him.

Some of our fans at wembley started smashing chairs, aswell. We have some right idiotic cnuts who support us. So do they.

.. Manchester United have caught us up and overtaken us (Anyone pretending we've 'won' 20 titles is talking out of their hoop). Congratulations to them. It's been inevitable for a fair few years and that monkey has finally been removed. I don't think we'll win the league next year, nor the year after. If we began challenging after that period then I'd be happy. Rome wasn't built in a day and there have been many reasons why we haven't won a pot of our own. We came very close twice but it wasn't to be. 20 years+ is a long time, but if you fail to win a title in that time then this opens the door for others to catch up.

Manchester United might feel like the 'enemy' but really they never were. They are just a very good rival club that have matched then exceeded us over recent years and indeed decades.
Is Andy having a queer moment?

Does anyone have that gig of gerrard as an old man saying next year is our year?

Unless some rich f*cker buy them, they'll most likely not win the league for at least the next 10 years. It'll be us and Arse, and probalby City/Chelsea if the new rules stuff coming dont stop them

The concensur from RAWK:

1. They stop caring about our 19
2. Next year .. sorry, next year and the next 20 years is their year
3. New theory on United's downfall
4. They're gonna get 20 before we does

basically it's the same "Next year we're really going to win it, the future is bright YAWN"

Perhaps they should just stfu and until they're really close by there at the 38th games or actually winning it, instead of spouting the same bluffery every year claiming "This is our year"

Payback's a biatch year!

It's hilarious how many of them over there are going on about 'It's only a statistic... I don't care anyway... it's not that important...'

Funny. It was very important when they rammed the mythological '18' down our throats at every opportunity for 2 decades. 2 decades where they've had about 2 faint title challenges in 21 years, the rest of the time they've been nowhere near, finishing outside the top 4 a lot of times, not even close to challenging for a title... and yet, they clung - increasingly desperately - onto this magical number 18.

Nevermind the fact that none of their current team are anything to do with that record, or the fact that no players in their team have ever won the league, or that they never even get close to winning the league.

Maybe this overtaking will be a good thing for them. We actually knocked them off their perch years and years ago, in the early 90s, when we resigned them to the title wilderness that they still reside in.

They are nowhere near the best team. We're the best team. And now, the best team is the most successful team as well. They're just has-beens. They have been for 21 years, but now perhaps they can finally realise it.

football comes in cycles. They'll have their turn again. But hopefully not before they go 26 years or more without winning it

Well 70 years later Huddersfield are still waiting for their cycle to start again so let's hope it's a bit longer than 26 years.

Yeah, possibly, but they're a long way off still imo. Anything can happen in football, but their task next season will be getting back in the top 4, and I think the teams in the current top 4 are just better than them. Let alone trying a title challenge, something they've only managed twice in 21 years. They're just not close to winning the league.

It'll be 26 years at least, probably longer, they've got to overcome teams that are better than them and have way more money than them. They are better under Dalglish but their fans getting all giddy again so prematurely is just ridiculous from them, yet again.

The more and more they're consigned to the wildnerness the harder it'll be to attract the top players, they'll all go to sides that are winning more than them and/or have more money. Maybe they just won't ever be able to come back, or it'll take a long, long time. They'd need to be taken over by a billionaire or something.

I love it, they genuinely think they'll win the league next year! All of them! They won't even finish in the top four. Scousers - gotta love em!

Andy was being his usual "it's corrupt self" all thorugh yesterdays match.

Don't agree with all this cycle bollocks, not in this day and age.

Yep, it's a load of shite. Success rarely lasts forever but there's no cycle involved. You can have long, sustained success or drop off the radar completely, especially in a sport where the gap between the top and bottom is widening by the season.

Some old scouse alchy on SSN "This ones for you Mr. Fergchhhcchhuson! it toochhcchhhk you a lifetime to get past us, it'll take Kchhcchenny two years to get past youchchccchhhhchh"

Was almost as cringe worthy as Summerbee that fat twat

They never learn.

meh, Weaste.

Hope you're getting that tenner ready to donate somewhere. Liverpool were always going to finish at least 6th.

Question for you though: what six teams did you think would finish higher that Liverpool? I'm guessing at the time you thought Sunderland which I find quite funny!

I had a dream Lindegaard won the golden gloves last night, and there was riots in Liverpool town centre

Oh dear.....

Surely they cannot really believe this. Liverpool are renowned for coffing up historical statistic. In fact I don't know another club that clung as tightly to it as Liverpool fans did

They may have all sorts of emotions going on over there but one thing is for sure. They care about statistics.

I've been seeing this since I was in my teens. When you look at it like that it's truly a long time to be claiming next year's glory

Maybe the same six who finished above your average team last season.

Glad it hasn't been. It should be consigned to history just like its subject matter after today.

just had a glance through the match day thread over there since i'm so bored because i'm skint and can't afford to go out and it was quite funny

If you thought the past few Meltdown seasons were funny and boy 08/09 was hilarious.. the next few years with a resurgent Liverpool, backing of the media and King Kenny.. should be immense if we continue to reign supreme.

Yep that Andy Allerton is it everyone usually takes the piss out of was on top form

Well we had two decent penalty shouts today and got one of them. Not really much to moan about this time. Blackburn also missed a great chance for 2-0 too, so had the chance to put the game safe. Hardly like they were robbed.
