It's 9 international games and 4 month worldwide ban. When does the ban start though?
From today it seems.
On the Guardian it says immediately.
As soon as the ban was communicated which was today, which means he'll miss 9 Premier League games for Liverpol.
Edit: Also only the player himself or the Uruguay FA can appeal the ban, Liverpool cannot.
I hope he has to stay at Liverpool, face the wrath of all the stadiums he will have to visit with Liverpool. Hope Liverpool are effectively out of the champions league and the title race by the time he comes back so he has another season trying to get Liverpool into the top 4. He's going to play half heartedly aswell, it's as clear as day he doesn't want to be there. And then next summer he fecks off.
Can he appeal it & stay in the tournament - why wouldn't he, after all he's done nothing wrong, nothing at all

The appeal will only suspend the fine, not the ban. Not sure how they'll legally defend that but the FIFA spokeswoman was adamant he won't be playing anymore this World Cup.Can he appeal it & stay in the tournament - why wouldn't he, after all he's done nothing wrong, nothing at all

Liverpool punished for something totally unrelated to them? I thought Suarez was employed by Liverpool?
