I agree, think both signings are decent. The problem is that in midfield and up front especially they've gone backwards so although these two will help out they'd be rotation options for better teams. Milner will fine out on the right or in a midfield three, he's only 29 and has still got the legs to play box to box. Ings would be an ideal 3rd choice striker but because Balotelli is so awful and Sturridge is broken at the moment he's the best they've got for now. I can't see them finishing above 5th next year. In fact if Spurs buy some support for Kane and defensive cover I think they'll finish above them again with Pochettino in his second year. It can all change obviously depending on who gets brought in.
