Reading vs Manchester United

I'm extremely sure of Ronaldo getting a brace here.

Note: Everytime I write that, Ronaldo gets a hattrick.

You even watch the games?

Anyways, we should kill them. Rooney to go out for Revenge!

I'd like to see

GK: VDS

RB: O'Shea
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Ronaldo
CM: Carrick
CM: Anderson
LM: Park

CF: Saha
CF: Rooney

I think Saha could stretch them a bit more than Tevez/Rooney. O'Shea looked in better form than Brown to me. Park just seems like the right player for Reading - he'll hassle them into mistakes and create chances that way and with his movement. Once we get our noses ahead I think we've too much for them.

Good points. Agree that Park could be a good choice against Reading. But I want to see Brown up against Stephen Hunt.
Is Saha ready for this game?

Agree about Park, he has to play at the weekend. Reading look vunerable when you put them under any real pressure. We aren't going to smash them though and its crazy to think we will. They're one of our bogey teams.

Clearly I won't be happy unless we win 7-0. Otherwise it's sack Fergie, sell Giggs time.

Hahnemann is one of the most hit-and-miss keepers in the league. He makes a load of saves, but has ammassed a fair repertoire of blunders aswell.

The backline in general has been attrocious this season, but they are capable of a resolute performance - see their spoiling tactics at OT.

The two front boys - Doyle and Kitson - have actually had decent seasons and need to be watched closely.

I'd be gutted if we dropped points to be honest though.

Not sure about Saha's fitness for this game. Or any game I suppose. If he's not recovered then Tevez obviously comes in. Still if we had someone who was running behind the Reading back 4 I think it would work better for us. Saha might not score but it'd create more space for Rooney/Ronaldo to operate in.

I think Brown would give away a lot of free-kicks against Hunt - that could be Reading's best chance of scoring. The way to play Hunt is not to try and out-muscle him - that's a strong part of his game. You need to frustrate him and I think O'Shea is smart enough to do it

I think we could give Reading a good footballing lesson. Even if Hargreaves is fit, he is not necessary in this game. Carrick looked rejuvenated against Newcastle and Anderson is pretty undroppable in the absence of Scholes. Two wide men. Two up front. Lots of goals!

Im i the only one who thinks Giggs isnt contributing so much to our attack?

I love him but think Park or Nani are doing better at the moment

He can be frustrating, but his ability to change a game is still better than Nani or Park. Look at his role in the Cup win at Villa Park.

What with the weeks rest between Newcastle and Reading, I reckon that Giggs will be sharp enough to start.

We should either start our strongest lineup or rotate at most one player, possibly Park or Nani for Giggs. Now is the time for us to go on a run and put pressure on Arsenal and Chelsea while they have players missing at the ACN.

The cnuts parked the bus at Old Trafford.

We need to get some revenge by smashing em 3 or 4 nill.

Is this match televised? BTW 4-0 to us. Think we've gotsomething to prove here!! Ronaldo 2, Rooney & Tevez

If we keep playing like we know we'll win without a doubt. We need to kill the game as soon as possible.

With Reading being my second team, and with me getting to see them a lot, I thought I'd give a quick lowdown on the team.

Reading have a poor poor side. I have to be honest, I think they'll go down. The keeper is awful, he makes the odd stop, but can't catch the ball for shit, truly awful keeper. The defence is shit, for me, worst in the Premiership, yes, even worse then Derby's. The right back (Murty) is slow, overweight and shit, Ronaldo should tear him to pieces. Ingimarsson is slow as feck, and has poor positional awareness, and his CB partner, who I imagine will be Bikey, with Sonko at the ACN, is a midfielder playing in defence. He's actually quite a good player, but to young and naive to be playing centre back. Shorey is so overrated it's untrue, he can attack, but when it comes to defending he is average at best, there is a reason he played for Leyton Orient before Reading you know.

Now the midfield. Well, they have NO right wingers fit, so are playing a left winger (Hunt) on the right. He's a very good little player, and could cause a problem. Now convey. Again, a good player, has talent, but is a little lightweight, and is still playing his way back into fitness after a terrible injury that nearly cost his career. The centre of midfield is also incredibly poor. Since Sidwell left they've replaced him with Cisse or Fae. Neither have played nearly enough games to get used the Premiership, and neither speak English, Cisse's being getting the nod recently, but he looks way out of his depth. And when he's playing with the headless chicken that is Harper, who either plays his passes backwards or sideways, he has little chance of bedding into the team.

Reading's main strength is their attack. Kitson, who, yes, is an outspoken prick, has been brilliant this season, and is a threat either in the air, or on the ground. He's the top English scorer this season, and an England call up shouldn't be far off...Kevin Doyle, is yet to produce his form of last season, but is still a threat in the area, and given half a chance, will more than likely score, he also scored more headed goals than anyone else in the Prem in 2007, so is obviously a threat in the air.

My prediction:

Reading 1-5 United

I'll be there, and I can't wait to see United romp to victory, Enjoy the game!

Sam#1, what about Gunnarson and Harper, they both seem fairly decent players.

Reading do have an knack of frustrating big teams, I really hope we dont feck up again. Can definately see them nabbing a goal, we just need to get the ball down and play some decent football and we should rip them apart.

Gunnarson really doesn't offer anything of note to the team. He makes the odd tackle or block here and there, but he's so slow, players just walk past him. He's also looks done in after about 20 minutes, and offers nothing going forward. And Harper just looks lost without Sidwell. With Sidwell in the team, it gave Harper far more freedom to try things, knowing that if he cocks it up, 9 times out of 10 Siddy would be there to bail him out. Now that Harper is the main mad in the centre, he just can't cope. He never plays a creative pass, it's either backwards or sideways, and he has no balls to go into the big tackles, as I said earlier, he is like a headless chicken, you can't fault him for the effort, he runs round and puts in 110% each game, but he never actually achieves anything. I am very worried about Reading this season...

I don't think that Reading have that poor a team to be honest. We all know that Shorey and Murty are overrated, but they've always coped quite well against us. Ronaldo won't find it that easy going when you consider that Reading will double up and someone like Hunt on the wing won't give Ronnie a seconds space.

They showed against us that they are capable of putting on a resolute defensive performance. I think their defensive frailties stem from the fact that they are quite an expansive team and their midfield doesn't protect the backline well.

Hunt, Harper, Doyle and Kitson are all dangerous.

The defensive frailties stem from the fact that the keeper is so bad it's funny, Murty and Ingimarsson can barely run, Shorey can't defend and Sonko seems to enjoy getting sent of and conceding penalties more than keeping a clean sheet.

I agree that Hunt, Doyle and Kitson are dangerous, but Harper really isn't.

Hope Fergie carries on with Carrick. His confidence must be sky high after Newcastle. Wouldn't mind seeing Ronaldo on the bench for this one, he'll need a rest sooner or later and will give an opportunity for Nani to get some action.

And so.

Well, now that Ronaldo has his hattrick, he'll get 3 every game.

Tevez could have had a hattrick also

Rooney couldn't have finished his dinner off last week, but he's gonna be ok.

Nani needs a game and I say go with the same midfield that tore Newcastle another asshole. The rest of the team picks itself. I would like to see Park come on at some point, he has played very well, hasnt looked like hes missed a game let alone 10 months.

Rooney WILL score, we WILL win, Arse WILL drop points to Fulham, this will be a fun weekend.

Probably would work, the way he has been skying them over the bar, however I think he will break his duck with a long run and just a little dink past the keeper, mind I m not sure if it will happen in this match

maybe not this match, but i have a feeling his first goal will come from something like that.

something along the lines of that i would imagine to start, maybe o'shea for simpson, but id like to see danny start.

hopefully wel get a comfortable 0 - 2 win, with us enjoying the majority of the population.

Really need to win this one as I think there is a good chance of arsenal dropping two points at Fulham.
