in the newcastle match we played brilliant football and controlled the game.
We played shite and reading controlled the game so far in this match.

dunno where you're getting that from. Granted Evra's not got forward enough, but we've certainly had width all game.

Did you watch the first half of the Newcastle match or have you blocked it out of your memory?

Reading haven't controlled the game at all, you're on another planet. They're getting men forward in attack, but if were composed enough on the break, we would be up a few goals.

If we do in fact not win this one and it turns out that Fergie did rest Anderson, then I'm going to be pissed off, then that'll be the third time he decides to rest our best available central midfielder in 3 difficult away games in the league - and we'll then have lost points in all 3 of them.

Hopefully that will never be the case though. Rooney needs to step it up, Park needs to come off and Ronaldo needs to hit the target.

In fact, no one's doing anything in midfield, apart from spanking the ball into Rooney's feet at about 200mph, and then running towards him.

Rooney's not releasing the ball quick enough.

we ARE standing too deep when not in possession giving reading plenty of time to hoof crosses into the box.

As amazing as Rio and Vidic are, they can't win everything everytime. One lucky perfect cross and we're in trouble.

Reading are more agressive than us and their defense is pushing up.

wtf is up with the retarded midfield selection? Carrick Hargreaves doesnt work, no Anderson, and Park as first choice?
 
45 mins still to play. The spasticity on the matchday thread never ceases to amaze me.

So far, I'm sure that we are not winning because:

- Hargreaves is shit offensively.
- Hargreaves and Carrick cannot play together.
- Carrick is invisible.
- PJS is rusty.
- SAF has picked a spastic team - Anderson is our saviour and we only win with him.

Well, you cannot argue with the fact, that our first half against newcastle was way better. Our centre mid was way better. But, of course, reading have more quality than newcastle. I agree with your second point, but still we havent done enough for the game.

Well said.

But you can't blame Fergie for trying too much, he did spend 35 odd million pounds on the two so he did expect them being more than capable against a team like Reading.
