What baffles me is how on earth have Liverpool won one less CL trophy than us when we have dominated English football for 25 years and they haven’t even won a PL title.

If they get lucky they could have the same amount of CL trophies as us, which is baffling considering the above point.

I really don't know whether I will watch it. I'm worried I would jink it and have to sit through watching them make it six.

I am not watching it. No way. Only if it's 3-0 Madrid after 89 minutes will I even think of turning it on.

Had my fingers badly burned in 2005. At half time it was cigars and champagne; at full time it was cheap cider and the Samaritans. Didn't watch their next final and it worked a treat.

This post confuses me. :wenger:

Heart says real. Head says Liverpool. I see Liverpool attacking wise destroying the real full backs who aren't great defensively.the only issue I see with Liverpool winning this handily is their backline is suspect. Should be a great game.

A small wummish part of me almost wants to see LFC shitting all over Real just to see all the hysterical reactions and wailing and gnashing of teeth on RedCafe

feck you, feck off and don't fecking come back you feck.

Football was tougher with more talent was more well spread. More competitive teams rather than one big boy slip and one route to the final is well piss easier

CL was mostly for league winners (last campaign CL winners). If any other English clubs have the same privilege to be in European cups back in the day without winning the league, you would expect them to win a few when they did not have to concentrate in all front (not expect to win the league).

If the same rule applied now, L'pool wouldn't make any CL final in the first place. Same can be said about quite few Madrid's CL wins.

Em. They have five european/champions league cups.

The good Real name alone might make Liverpool shit the bed. Then there's Klopp's record in finals. Won 1, lost 5, I think. Those two things give me enough hope.

So Real fullbacks will get destroyed but Ronaldo will do nothing against Alexander Arnold?

He's kind of more like a striker nowadays. Surely he would be targeting Van Dijk and Lovren?

TAA would be focused on Marcelo or Carjaval.

He'll work in between Lovren and TAA, no?

We went up against the greatest club side ever twice during our best run.

You need some luck for sure.

Em. They have five european/champions league cups.

They have 4 European Cups.

They have 1 CL. Totally different structure.

I am talking about since we won our first league title in over 20 years. We have gone on to dominate English football yet Liverpool are close to matching our tally of CL wins in that time.

If it was anyone bar Madrid or Barca I'd worry but this Madrid team know how to get the job done. Liverpool will struggle to get hold of the ball. Liverpool always have the chance of scoring on the break but they are playing against the likes of Modric, Ronaldo, Marcelo, Kroos, Ramos etc. I think alot of United fans are simply forgetting how good Madrid are because they are that freightened by the concept of Liverpool winning it. Yes it's a game which can go either way but everything points to a Madrid win imo.

I expect a one sided final tbh. I don't think Liverpool will be able to cope.

Madrid are clearly favorites but if they play like second leg vs Juve and overall against Bayern, a good shape Liverpool could be a trouble.

2-2 after extra time

Navas will be the hero in the penalty shootout and RM will win the CL once again.

Only just saw the full time score. Liverpool conceded 6 goals against a terrible Roma side.

Real Madrid will professionally win the final 2-0.

Who's the referee for this? It'll be interesting to see the perennial ref favourites Vs the flavour of this season.

Logic.

If Ashley Young can dominate Salah and keep him quiet im sure the best LB in world football can.

The problem is he runs up to the middle of the pitch a lot of times. I saw in the tie on tuesday, Bayern won possession back in the middle of the pitch and countered, much like what Liverpool do and Marcelo was no where to be seen. He was closer to the Bayern goal than he was to his own goal. That is my worry because Liverpool thrive on winning possession back and countering in the middle of the pitch.

Madrid will win. Unlike city’s style of play, Madrid won’t play right into Klopps hands. Madrid themselves usually sit deep and are devastating on the counter. That alone nullifies a lot of pools threat. Also, on attack, a lot of Madrid’s attacks come from out wide, with balls into the box.

Ronaldo will feast on the service against TAA and Lovren. Madrid’s midfield will also have more than enough quality to play through Liverpool’s press. That’s without considering players like Bale/Vasquez/Asensio (assuming Isco and Casemiro start) on the bench to come on after minute 70 when the Pool press have exhausted their players.

Madrid just has too much quality and experience for them. 3-0. (Ronaldo 2, Isco).

Hopefully someone will have a word with zidane, need Carvajal and Casemerio starting this.
Jose needs to have a word with him. Give him some tactical advice. He knows how to deal with Liverpool.
