Madrid will win. Unlike city’s style of play, Madrid won’t play right into Klopps hands. Madrid themselves usually sit deep and are devastating on the counter. That alone nullifies a lot of pools threat. Also, on attack, a lot of Madrid’s attacks come from out wide, with balls into the box.

Ronaldo will feast on the service against TAA and Lovren. Madrid’s midfield will also have more than enough quality to play through Liverpool’s press. That’s without considering players like Bale/Vasquez/Asensio (assuming Isco and Casemiro start) on the bench to come on after minute 70 when the Pool press have exhausted their players.

Madrid just has too much quality and experience for them. 3-0. (Ronaldo 2, Isco).

Let's hope you're right, mate. Only thing is anything is possible in a one off match.

It's probably gonna be about 9-7

Sergio Ramos will get sent off.

Karius will concede a howler.

No idea who'll win.

We’ve now reached more EC/CL finals than Utd, plastics, gooners and city combined and won more than all those combined. That is a good record.

Madrid will be tough, not least because they are vastly more experienced and have better individual quality. We will need to be at our best and probably need a bit of luck too. Ronaldo against our defence is the stuff of nightmares.

I hate this fixture and the fact that we are so far away from the champions league count. Disgusted.

We should have more than three European Cups/Champions Leagues and are underachieving. However, we were unlucky in that we played two finals against one for the greatest teams of all time. But for that Barcelona team we'd have five trophies.

You're just going to add teams who have never won it to the list just to make it look more impressive?

But for incompetence of Ovebro we'd very likely be on 4.

In 09 I'd say that's fair because we'd have probably beaten Hiddink's Chelsea (probably), but I reckon Mourinho's Real would've been favourites if we'd hypothetically come up against them in 2010-11.

Arsenal reached a final and I included City because of resources they have thrown at it.

It has the makings of a great game and hopefully a great Real win. . . . Never thought I'd want to see Real win a CL final.

All credit to Liverpool though.
They got an easy route to the final but they can only beat what is placed in front of them and they have done that convincingly, and so deserve their place in the final.

Here's hoping that Real will have too much in the end for Liverpool.

During this Champions I have felt quite pessimistic, except in the first leg against Juventus, however I am quite positive for the final.
A final is played differently, so I do not expect so much space and highways.
I have not followed much the season of Liverpool but I would take as reference the first part of Roma at Anfield, where in some moments their midfield pushed and deprived them of occasions.
We will have to run a lot with a very tough Liverpool trying to make our game uncomfortable.
I think that progressively our midfield will impose his quality, as in the second part of the final against Juventus.
We are a team of finals but the statistics are to be broken, and it has been a long time since we lost one,- if we do not count the Intercontinental against Boca- and was precisely against them.
I wonder what Klopp's surprise plan will be, although at this point Zidane has nothing to show and can have an idea equally good.
At the level of motivation and importance for the club I would place la decimotercera very close to la décima,or at least I feel more excited than against Atlético.
For the final I would love a @Ecstatic post with draws, arrows and team pros and contras :D

Very fair appraisal.

CR7, Karim, Modric, Kroos, Varane, Ramos, Zizou please, please, please save us!
Surely a team with TAA, Lovren, Karius, Klaven can’t win the biggest prize in European football?
Shades of 2005.

I'm more stressed with this CL final than any since 2011. Whilst I have preferences between all the finalists in the last 6 finals, this is the one I really really really really want Real to win.

Which Real will turn up?

If it's the Real of Cardiff last year or Turin this year then Liverpool are in for an awful evening.

If it's the Real who played at home to Juventus/Bayern in this campaign then Liverpool could. . . Well I can't state it.

Surely a team with Modric, Kroos, and Casemiro in the midfield can win the midfield battle vs Milner and friends. And surely their back four has no chance vs Ronaldo, Asensio, Benzema, and Isco.

Please let Real smack the piss out of Liverpool

You have an impressive EC/CL record, but lumping us with those 3 is frankly just insulting.

Fair enough. The point loses some of its impact if those 3 are removed but I can see your point. Those 3 have 3 final appearances and one win between them.

Can there be an option for neither?

Mass brawl and both sides get suspended by UEFA. No Title is awarded this year.

Maybe disqualify the 32 teams who played in it, and give it to the 4th best Europa side?

City simply doesn't deserve to be included in any list about CL finals anyway.

Hopefully this goes the same way as the last time you faced a Spanish team playing to win their 3rd successive European trophy.

Perhaps; both games would have been close, but I would have fancied us. I didn't think for a moment we would beat Barcelona in 2009 and 2011, they were that good. Liverpool have the advantage of playing a Real Madrid side which isn't nearly as good as the Barcelona team we had to play.

If Real don't treat Liverpool with respect they will lose, Zidane's tactics will have to be as focused on stopping Liverpool as much as anything. Pep failed at this horribly despite getting a warning in the league only a few months previously.

Apart from a City side that lack European experience, Liverpool have faced no one of any real quality in the competition thus far. That will change when they meet Real in the final.

You would have to expect that a midfield consisting of Kroos, Modric and Casemiro will be too much for the likes of Henderson, Can, Milner, Wijnaldum etc.

I think it will be a comfortable 3-1 win for Real.

Yep our midfield is very limited. I’m hoping Lallana is fit to at least make the bench. If Real play to their capabilities it will be very difficult for us to win.

If Real play to their capabilities they'd trash you. But the only worry is that they've blown hot and cold the entire season.

Who's he?
The useless referee who mishandled the scandal of Stamford Bridge, turning down 6 possible (3 stonewall) Chelsea penalties.

I heard he was out for the season.

That’s what I thought but then there were rumours that he could make the last PL game. It’s still over 3 weeks till the final. We’ve had some bad luck with injuries lately, would be nice if that changed.

I can't imagine JORDAN HENDERSON lifting the Champions league. Come on Madrid.
