That Iniesta goal shouldn't have mattered, I am still convinced we'd have beaten Chelsea in the final.

The really obvious handballs were before the Iniesta goal imo, especially Pique's one.

We certainly had the upper hand on them in the league that season but they had been improving under Hiddink and they would have been mad for revenge, we will never know.

3-0

Liverpool somehow managed to allow 4 goals from a non-existent Roma team. And I am not buying that they have weak defense. In a final they will play carefully.

Madrid will win. Unlike city’s style of play, Madrid won’t play right into Klopps hands. Madrid themselves usually sit deep and are devastating on the counter. That alone nullifies a lot of pools threat. Also, on attack, a lot of Madrid’s attacks come from out wide, with balls into the box.

Ronaldo will feast on the service against TAA and Lovren. Madrid’s midfield will also have more than enough quality to play through Liverpool’s press. That’s without considering players like Bale/Vasquez/Asensio (assuming Isco and Casemiro start) on the bench to come on after minute 70 when the Pool press have exhausted their players.

Madrid just has too much quality and experience for them. 3-0. (Ronaldo 2, Isco).
I like your plan

Didn't the 'non existent' Roma beat both Chelsea and Barcelona 3-0 at home, conceding zero goals in Rome until the semi final? Revision much?

I hope Real beat them to the point of embarrassment, reminding everyone how far away from that level they really are.

Well, we have had the better of Chelsea that season. We just know that Barca shouldn't have been in that final.

If you want a game like that then fair! But at least let Ronnie get all 10!

I did think this afterwards. My initial thinking was spread it a bit more. What would be amazing is everyone scores 1 including the keeper and then 4 for Ronaldo. A nice 15-0

I have always hated Real Madrid the most. They are the biggest cheaters with no likeable players and easily the luckiest team in the CL ever. But on the other hand I am a Manchester United fan who has to hate Liverpool. Just can't decide.

Cheeky poll

Anyway Madrid's players have more quality and experience while this is the first CL final for all Liverpool players. Doubt Zidane is gonna be daft enough to play an open game either. Madrid have more chance to win this.

Relax. No way Real bottle it, they are specialist in CL finals, meanwhile Klopp’s wonderful silverware collection

Honestly. Real should watch out not to concede 4 goals in the first half.

You are not a Utd fan.
I am guessing you don't know any Real Madrid fans in real life. All of them think Ronaldo is a better player than Messi. Other than ours it is the only fan base that argues that.
With these 3 CL finals in a row, they now consider themselves to be the best team ever to grace this earth.
On the flip side Liverpool fans will be unbearable as well if they win but may be not as much as the Real Madrid fans I know.

Don't even care who wins. This tie makes me sick and for the first time in years I'm not looking forward to a CL final, probably not gonna watch it anyway.

the moment coutinho left it had that 2005 Michael Owen feel to it .....those pricks will win it 5-4 in extra time or some crap like that ......hope cr7 turns it on

Routine Ronaldo inspired Madrid win please. Not much to ask for is it, especially against that keeper/defence.

Apart from anything else, it would be wrong (and demeaning for the competition) for Jordan Henderson to lift the trophy. feck that.

The dippers won't be able to do play their usual direct horse race routine against Madrid. If they try..Ronnie and Co will absolutely sodomize them on the counters.

I don't know. I hate Madrid with a passion but still itsi the only choice we have. Sad, sad season this.

A hypothetical question. If Liverpool win their 6th Champions League title, will they be considered the biggest club in English football? As they currently have 2 more CL titles compared to us but we have 2 more League titles. I'm absolutely dreading this final.

I don’t care if it spangs off Marcelo’s arse in the 94th minute for a Madrid win, just don’t let the Anti-Christ back in the big time.

Manchester United completed football last season, so no.

Liverpool fan here.

First of all, no. There’s a difference between biggest and most successful.

Man Utd, courtesy of the last 20+ years, are certainly the biggest club in English football.

Liverpool remain the most successful for me (more Europeans cups but you could of course easily argue Man Utd are more successful with more titles and overall trophies) but I think someone else on here summed it up well couple of weeks back saying “Man Utd are the most successful club in England, Liverpool are the most successful English club in Europe."

I swear, do people even watched us at any point this season? We didn't plan to sit back against Bayern Munich, in their stadium, what makes you think we're going to do it against Liverpool in a neutral venue? Also, devastating on the counter? This season? When?

One thing we consistently have trouble dealing with is a well organized, high intensity high pressing line. We could barely get out of our half in two against bayern and created so many chances. This was an issue against juventus as well, and even PSG in the first leg. Even if we had a team built to play like that, and we don't, and even if Zidane decides to either axe some big names or ask them to play against their best style, we've gone all seasons being utterly incapable of putting together the semblance of an actual defence.

Like it but a 4-1 or 5-2 looks more likely(and then it will turn out to be milan-juventus 2.0, now with more bad penalty shots!)

No chance. They've barely made a mark on English football for 40 years. They just have a bi-centurial run of form/luck

They clearly know what they're talking about. :D

Won't be watching this. Having said that, Madrid better win. Liverpool winning the CL would probably make this the worst post SAF season yet.

Nothing wrong with that. Both legit claims.

Good question. One thing that will happen is LFC will be media darlings even more than they are now and that will last for awhile. Klopp will be hailed as a genius for what he has done with this team, and the feat of 6 cups will be seen as an unsurmountable task for other clubs in England to attain. It will be a nightmare.

Real Madrid have won the league once during their 3 consecutive finals. Barcelona won 3 consecutive Leagues, 2 CL with one treble and one double when they were at their best. It isn't a claim worth entertaining.

The Ronaldo Vs Messi is too tiresome to get into.
