Real Madrid v Liverpool | Champions League Final (May 26th, 2018)

Winning it 4 times in 5 years is ridiculous. That's what you get for buying the best and not accepting mediocre players.

Is it too far to suggest that there might have been some dodgy match fixing involved?

Would've beaten Sevilla 5-5 on away goals though. :nono:

I think they can challenge for the league next season as long as they keep everyone. Looking forward to seeing how Naby Keita does for them aswll. Man. United and Chelsea are at more of a crossroads.

They can "challenge" if they get a new keeper and defence/midfield. Other than that, I dont see it happening. They arent consistent enough and it will take another 40-50 goal season from salah, which is questionable to say the least.

With a strong summer for us, we are much better positioned/built for a long season.

madrid walked this final. They are clearly the dominant team, but hopefully if we buy Bale and Ronaldo continues his "decline" then there is a chance we could be positioned well enough to be successful in Europe and the Premier League.

They haven't really. Liverpool were much better until Salah went off.
Much better is overdoing it. They were good and probably on top, but Real were growing into it by then. No doubt they got significantly worse when Salah went off.

Were those two of the worst goal keeping errors in history?

I cant off the top of my head think of any worse given the occasion.

Thank feck for that.

Everything is right in the world again. Big sigh of relief.

Incredible achievement by Real. 4 in 5 years, 3 on the bounce - terrific.

It'll be interesting what they do in the summer & who comes in/goes out.

Zidane makes history. Klopp makes history. Karius makes history.

Feck me, I detest both of these sides. But at least we are spared the scouse wank fest in the press.
