Riots in Ferguson, St Louis

Antonio Martin - no clear cut details as of yet, some are saying he was unarmed, the law enforcement are saying he was armed and raised a gun to the police. Theres reports that the cop had a body cam but it was "deactivated" also a dashboard cam that was turned off - I don't know if that's true or not, it's pretty damning it if it is.
There's 2 picture's of the crime scene floating around that was uploaded to twitter at about 11.44pm - no gun.
Then 2 hours later a gun magically appears on the floor in the same area as the original pictures were taken.
Suspicious to say the least.
His body lay in the street for about 2 hours while he was alive - no medical help was given to him, but the police were cornering off the scene and calling for "crowd control" after he died they put his body into the back of a SUV - again no ambulance present.
Disgusting.

live update website, shows the video that "confirms" he had a gun and pointed it at the officer

pictures taken by passer-by's at the scene 2 hours apart, gun is seen hours later

Seems like people are jumping to conclusions somewhat. Isn't it fairly likely that the gun is under or behind the sheet that is covering his body and so can only be seen once they've removed the body? It's hard to tell from the pictures where the gun actually is in relation to where the body was though.

Seen these were put on the Police's YouTube channel. Only watched each one once and I genuinely have no idea what I'm meant to be looking for.

It seems like he could well be aiming a gun at the officer in the first video at 1.43 if you zoom in. It's the man on the left. Hard to tell though.

Took a screen cap.

Yeah the story I read indicated the video footage showed SOMETHING in his hand...But couldn't determine what it was. The one thing I found was odd, was that he pulled the gun first, had it pointed but didn't get off any shots at all.

Regardless of what happened - they allowed the man's body to lay there for 2 hours while he was still alive, no ambulance came, no first aid was administered - even when he died they just shoved him in the back of a SUV, the whole thing is disgusting.

Sorry but has this been confirmed? I mean even when they cordon off an area they have a ambulance in attendance to react with emergencies to officers (ie officers being hit by bottles being flung at them). It would be shocking if they didnt react even with personal onsite which i would find hard to believe.

Seems the dashboard can only activated if the cars emergency lights are activated. Something that probably should change. The body cam is new to the dept they have 3 for the entire force and are still undergoing training on it. Not heard that the victim laid on the ground alive for two hours.

Possible he was deceased and it took several hours for the coroners team to get there and complete their work.

Nothing's been confirmed because no report has been written up, and the police are hardly going to say they let a man die on the streets.
But dozens of tweets from people who were there protesting say he was alive for a while and no ambulances came even when they called for them and none of the police checked on his body.
Then his body lay under a yellow sheet for at least 1.5 hours before being put into the back of a SUV-type vehicle - and thats all backed up by time stamped tweets with pictures as proof. Similar thing happened with Mike Brown too his body was in the streets for a very long time.

With social media, of course not everything should be taken as fact, but it definitely gives you an insight to stories that don't get told in the media.

On this city the majority of the police force are black and they said the police office did the right thing to protect his life, the media are asking for more riots.

So in other words there is no proof at all that he was left alive lying in the street for 2 hours. In a situation like this the body of a deceased person can not legally be moved until the coroner/crime scene investigators have cleared it to be moved. I would be careful relying on twitter for solid news.

Hmm I clearly said not everything should be taken as fact on social media.
But if you have pictures and vines from people who were at the scene of the crime minutes after it happens
For example this;

about 15 feet away from the body

Then you read along his timeline (and many more people who were there) you get a better overall view of what happened in the aftermath - because by the time it gets written up in a news report, all of the small things that infuriate people get glossed over - for example how there are dozens of officers to stop the protest from growing - meanwhile the guy's body was still laying on the ground and no medical practitioner had come out. How there are at least 5 CCTV cameras positioned no less than 5 feet away from where he got shot, but no footage has been released from them. Or the media will report the protesters as being violent aggressive looters.
That particular guy who's vine I posted has about 50-60 more which give both sides of the picture - for example you see the fireworks going off by the police officers and some people vandalised the store, but you also see other protestors helping out the store owners (something else which gets forgotten about in news reports)

So while i'm not reading twitter and taking every tweet as fact - i'm definitely not dismissing them either because there are people who were there, so they will have a much better understanding than I ever will.

edit

in case anyone hasn't seen the second video being released from a different angle

1.17 is where it all happens - you can't see a gun but there is a huge flashing light coming from Antonio Brown, probably his phone - could that be confused for a gun when its dark?

If the coroner was tied up elsewhere and the city does not have multiple coroners then it can take time for them to get there. Grew up in a small town we had just a few coroners for the whole county, while not the norm there were a few times it took several hours for the coroner to be able to get to the scene

I thought the policeman had a torch or something.

Yeah but they're black citizens, so that might prove ideologically problematic for the Tea Party.

You mean . . . no NRA backing, no Tea Party, no Fox News, no Republican party, no militias . . . not even Ben Carson?

But this is classic big government trampling on the rights of its citizens, shaking them down, jailing them, stalking them . . . even killing them. Can´t they get even Sean Hannity to help them out?

The Tea Party and NRA are finally getting their wish. Citizens have had enough of being abused by the tyranny of big government are fighting back and exercising their second amendment rights. Don´t tread on them.

Did I get that right, barros?
I bet you they didn't get the guns legally and I have a feeling they were criminals, anyway I believe in the people's right to own guns but I believe they have to be responsible as well.

So, some people started shooting at cops at the 1 year anniversary protest last night. One of the shooters was hit when the cops returned fire. Lots of shots and then the inevitable bit of rioting/looting.

Political correctness gone mad will be America's downfall.

The biggest part of the problem lies within black community itself.

No wonder he got banned. Good riddance.
