Roma vs. Manchester United

Its gonna be a 4-5-1 variant thats for sure, which considering Romas weird set up is understandable.

Really hope Saha is fit - have got a gut feeling he could cause them real problems....

park should play, he's good against italian teams,
same team what blackburn i say with smith coming on if we havn't scored
i seariously believe wif we get 2 away goals we'll go through

Nope, the orange in that Roma badge is horrid, and like you said, it's blurry. Mine is better IMO. I'm going to leave it as is for now, as you're the only one complaining. If you want to start a poll in a different thread between mine and yours, go ahead, I will heed to the results of said poll. :smirk:

And since you believe in the voodoo of matchday threads; if we win at Roma, will you let me make the return leg thread? Can't really understand your logic, we have won when I've made them, you are being selfish.

Deal, if no other sneaky bastard comes in to nick it.

I must admit it, you've been good. You earned us the win at Anfield with your thread but come on, Riverside has always been tricky for us.

I book the Chelsea fixture though, and a potential CL-Final :p

I've changed it to a better version, but it's little narrower, take a look.

So you don't want us to win the CL final? :smirk:

Brilliant pic. Still prefer the "vs." to be left out though :p

Feck off, don't make me look through you archives, I'm sure I have a better win-per-thread-ration than you :smirk:

Not sure on Evra's status but Saha is out right?

VDS

O'Shea Rio Brown Heinze

Rooney Park Carrick Scholes Ronaldo

Giggs

Subs: PIG, Cathcart, ?Evra?, Eagles, Richie, Smith, Ole

My pic was the best. I'm not sure but I think he just resized it and used that. I like the "vs." in there but each to their own.

Don't know why but it just doesn't feel right looking at that. It's probably because of the whole 451 in Europe fiasco. I hope Saha is fit.

Not only away in Europe, I don't think we will be playing 442 at all. We played 451 vs. Lille at home ffs, if I remember correctly, so all of you thinking we will play 442 vs. Roma are crazy. I can only see us sticking two up front if the opposition sits back completely (if they are ahead maybe?).

I just noticed that on the Roma badge there appears to be some babies sucking the teets off a cows body with a bears head. Interesting.

Something to do with a wolf breastfeeding the first Romans, could be the reason why Italians live with their mothers until the mean age of 46. There have been threads on this topic I think.

Totti rattles his cage at Sir Alex

Roma skipper Francesco Totti has launched a withering broadside at Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and English football in general.
The 30-year-old was angered when, asked to name Roma's most dangerous players after the draw for the Champions League quarter-finals, Sir Alex omitted his name, although the United boss put that right in subsequent remarks.

Now Totti is vowing to make Ferguson eat his words when the clubs meet in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg match in the Eternal City on Wednesday.

"I am not worried about what Ferguson thinks of me as - as (Roma coach Luciano) Spalletti says - he will see for himself. I hope I will make him remember my name."

Totti told Sky that he was expecting to be man-marked by United.

"So they are going to put me in a cage?" said the World Cup winner. "The opponents always make a cage for me.

"When I grow up I won't be a footballer but I will go and work at the zoo with all the cages people have made for me."

Totti then turned his fire on the standard of football in England.

"I don't like the way English football is even if some great players play there," he moaned.

"I don't like English football and I don't like England either because of the weather."

:)

Saha is fit btw, Evra doubtful...

I'd play a 442, no matter what team we face! I'd play Saha, as he said he's fit and eager to go. O'Shea at right back and Wes next to Rio. Evra not fit yet, so play Heinze.

------VDS-------
O'Shea-Rio-Wes-Heinze
Ron-Carrick-Scholes-Giggs
----Saha---Rooney

Fergie will probably go for that team though:

------------Rooney---

link? I was under the impression he wasn't traveling to Rome.

He is fit, but won't travel to Rome due to lack of match fitness. He'll play with the reserves on Thursday, like Fletcher.

See Skysports.

stop trying to edumacate me, my impression was correct

1-1 in Rome / 2-0 to United back at O.T. Firmly believe we will win this one, although a good Italian friend of mine (who's a Torino supporter) says that Roma play the best football in Italy at the moment. This is a mouth-watering tie IMO

italians are so fecking crooked, not only in football but in general
