didn't think Rio had so may games, because of his 8 month ban. If he stays fit he should go for 500 I think.
He's 29 this year, but will probably play five or six seasons at least until he quit.

To be honest, don't think he will last that long at OT. Another 3-4 seasons, which means about 150-200 more games. Will do well to break the 400 games mark.

He can be really the biggest legend of Manchester United.

If we win the title this season, he is the only player who's won it nine times. Currently equal with Phil Neal on eight.

Gill & Fergie should announce a special party for him if he do it.

These things are not happening so often in a world of football, for the team with such a long history, it will be one of the biggest day for this club and the player of course.

If we win the title this season, something tells me there will be a party, regardless :D

A few things noticed for me.

- How Jack Rowley hardly be mentioned even thou he is the 3rd in the list. Probably too long for most of us here.

- Never thought Becks score that many goals, even more than Cantona. He was such a good player, recent memory of him probably make most of us forget that.

- Steve Bruce 51 -> Amazing. Best attacking CB ever.

Reckon Rooney will end up somewhere near Ole if he stays long enough.

If he plays 100o games and scores 500 goals I don't think he'll ever be the biggest legend of Man Utd. The Busby Babes, in particular Duncan Edwards and Sir Bobby will probably always come first, then there is Sir Matt himself, Bestie and SAF who IMO will all be seen as bigger legends.

I think we should see the goals to games ratio. I'm pretty sure thar Ruud wins that one hands down. Tommy Taylor is another Babe who is generally unappreciated. His scoring record is feckin amazing for such a young forward....

doubt rooney will get that many goals as some people think so here. He is not a free scoring player, goes long spells without goals, has problems with form and is not a freekick/ penalty taker and i cannot see him getting many aerial goals as well.

what's with checking the MU all time scoring list in relation to rooney's total goals?

if rooney took penalties --he could easily add 30-50 pens over 10 years at OT.

Shearer scored 61 pens. If Andy Cole took pens he would be closer to Shearer.

That's my point ---i doubt rooney will score a 'high' number of goals --he does not take penalties and cannot see him banging goals like Rvn as he's not clinical nor is his positioning good at poaching goals in pen box.

read the post carefully retard

I have. Loads of waffle about Shearer, penalties, Cole etc.

I have no idea what relevance that has to the fact that Rooney is one goal short of 50 for United.

Passed the 50-goals mark today. Rooney is now on the same number of goals as Bruce, Keano and Gordon Hill, 51 goals.

Is not impossible. Ruud got 150 in 5 seasons. If a younger version of Ruud comes along one day, Charlton's record could be beaten.

not impossible but with squad rotation etc these days i doubt it

for that to happen, you are basically asking for a striker to score 25 goals a season for 10 years. this requires you to be at the top of your game and to not get many injuries. in the modern game now, i don't see any players who are going to stay at clubs for that long.
