Rothen: Di Maria's PSG form affected by poor attitude

Hardly surprising his assists have gone down having gone from providing for Zlatan to Cavani

So why isn't it just bad form over a few games? Because the great Jerome Rothen said so or is there any substance as well?

He would be in double figures for assists if Cavani put half the chances he misses away. Wasn't it one of the games recently where Di Maria must have played him 4-5 glorious passes just for Cavani to feck up?

And who gives a feck what Rothen has to say?

Probably because he has a history of downing tools when things aren't going swimmingly.
Still this article lacks substance - any substance to be honest. It's really just a random ex pro telling the world that he thinks di Maria should work harder. This isn't just no big story, it's not even a story at all. Which makes me think this
Because people want to believe everything negative written about Di Maria.
might well be true.

On form he is one of my favourite players to watch but I'm glad we got rid. Since leaving Madrid, his mental attitude has become horrible.

ok, i had never heard of him before, but hey. thanks anyway!

This guy will be unbeatable in total transfer fee. He makes a huge move every 2nd year. He's cost like 300m euro all together now or what?

I remember reading he showed extreme signs of ADHD as a kid (could never stop running) and that's probably one of the reasons he's like this. Who knows if he's eating downers and that's what causes the problem??

Edit: yes found the adhd part: https://premierleaguetoday.wordpres...aria-the-player-averybody-loves-to-play-with/

Next club? Chelsea (€60m) stay for 3-4 years and then China?

Chelsea don't seem to throw around as much money anymore but perhaps China or back to Argentina.

Former Monaco, PSG and French national team player. Now he's a pundit on TV and radio.

The great Jerome "Portugal doesn't have a chance" Rothen, he loves hearing himself talk.

Not exactly a surprise that someone who moved from Real to (the current) United to PSG might not be burning with desire every single game.

That's a weak attitude.

World class and better than Ozil is what the Man Utd fans said when he joined....
What is your point? He was very good that season for RM and there was no way of knowing he turned out the way he did.
In hindsight we probably shouldn't have signed him.

He played really well last year, the season has only started give him more than 5 minutes before writing him off.

But he wasn't very good the seasons before. Transfermarkt Spain had his sum twice reduced - the last time in the winter prior to the transfer to United.

Tbf, he did show those qualities when he was at Real. At least whenever I watched him...which admittedly wasn't always. Could it be that he was only willing to put in a shift when he was surrounded by players of a higher caliber?

Only for one whole season though. He was super erratic all those seasons at Real before that. He basically had a world class game and decided to take it slow for the next 10. I never doubted his skill but his consistency and attitude always were a big question mark for me.

Can't really remember and my mistake if so but he was still condidered a very good player. Still, it was not the kind of performances we should expect.

He kicked on after the winter break though. He really was fantastic during that period.

Not even a whole season, really.

He was in and out of the side during the first half of 2013-14 and only found himself a regular around February/March when Ancelotti changed the system to a 4-3-3 and gave him a central, box to box role.

Old habits die hard, it's a good thing that he's gone.

Chelsea’s frailties seem to be in defence yet Spanish-speaking website Don Balon claims the club are considering a surprise January transfer move for Paris Saint-Germain wide man Angel Di Maria. He is understood to be unhappy in the French capital, potentially opening the door for a return to the Premier League.

Veron all over again for Chelsea :D

I wouldn't like to see him again in the PL, i just don't want him to turn it up here. Him linking up with Hazard and Costa is in theory pretty frightening.

How can a man be unhappy in Manchester or Paris when he earns millions of pounds.

It's a shame he's a cnut because he is a great player on his day.

Overrated? Di Maria is notoriously inconsistent but at the end of the day he wins you plenty of games every year.

People are just acting like drama queens.

My thoughts exactly.
Stay away Di Maria.
Stay in Paris - you can win many trophies there.
