Putin actually working with Wagner to wipe out some of the military leadership while pretending to have clean hands? Wouldn't be the first time Wagner s been used that way. If anything it would be a good excuse to try and distract from Ukraine for whatever reason.

I'm not seeing how this helps Putin. If he says there are internal political issues won't that make him look weak? Also Ukraine have already said they will only negotiate if Russia withdraw completely which will also be a huge L for Putin

I don't see how Prigozhin thinks he'll ever be safe anymore, if it wasn't some inner plot with Putin to further damage and clean up the MoD. Putin would never allow him to live happily ever after, after threatening a coup. Not to mention that Wagner cannot exist anymore after today.
