The key is not to be a dickhead. It literally can't be enforced. At the worst of my Eating disorder I'd be out walking/jogging for a whole day. Technically that still counts as once here.
Even if we went out multiple times, it can't be enforced
You've obviously got a dog in this fight.
Johnson CLEARLY said you can go to work if you can't do your work from home. Please enlighten me about this 90% of construction business on hold - I run a construction business and I'm almost 100% you do not. I have (and had) guys working in Ireland, France, Germany and UK during all of this crisis. We have been given the green light to continue working in each country. Please provide actual fact based evidence (not anecdotal) that 90& of the industry has closed down.
Thanks

Its what brought about this lockdown in the first place.

Not many boomers still working. Most'll be retired or close to it.Is he a moderately wealthy Boomer perchance?
This thread is a prime example of selfishness in this country, loads of you asking about going out 3 or 4 times a day when we have been told not to, wanting haircuts, wanting this and wanting that.
Just follow instructions for once in your fecking life.
Literally this, if it wasn’t a dire situation we wouldn’t be in lockdown. They don’t want us like this. This thread is a prime example of selfishness in this country, loads of you asking about going out 3 or 4 times a day when we have been told not to, wanting haircuts, wanting this and wanting that.

I work in commercial banking and know quite a few construction firms. The only reason they're reducing work is if workers are self isolating.Yep, I work for numerous companies and they are all still operating.
I don't know where people are getting information from, but the misinformation in this thread can be ridiculous at times.

(I don't see it as misinformation, I see it as deliberate agendas.)
Yeah we have been told that its essential that we go to work from our boss. We work in the semi-conductor industry so its not essential businessNot in England the only official person who has said essential workers was Nicola Sturgeon. Labour have ask for clarification on what Boris means by Necessary. Sky seem to think that if you can't work from home you can go to work but it's not clear.
The special delivery one.

It might be less busy but all it takes is 1 person on that tube to be a carrier and they'll all get it.
That could mean thousands of extra infected people. It sucks but all tubes should be closed.
Limit the shops that can open and let's be honest if the whole country is on lockdown I suspect the daily business slows down considerablyNot enough officers to do that and daily business

They’d have to. There’s still going to be lots of people needing to use cars.I wonder if car mechanics and tyre and exhaust outlets can stay open?
nope not one. Used for fitbits, cars etc no medical devices.Depends what the electronics are used for, they may be needed for medical devices.
I wasn't entirely serious with that, as I didn't get a serious answer. I'm still unsure what they will do here as every time I ask my friend about it, who is in the trade, he is adamant that they won't close the sites as it would cause too many financial implications with contracts etc. I'm interested to see what happens now.But far from the truth. Your rules seem very similar to ours and 90% of the construction business has been put on hold since the "lockdown". I wouldn't be sure about it at all, it's not essential work.
It's not enough. People will keep taking the piss.
There should be two 'Exercise Hours' a day - like, 12-1 and 8-9 etc for people to walk dogs / kids and so on.
