Scum v Soup Chuckers (Oct 28th)

It is, considering how you lot have gone on about what a great set of midfielders you have.

By the way, did you notice how bloody fecked and knackered your players looked for the last ten minutes?

Fans generally do that to their own players. Its called support. I was cautiously optimistic about the midfield we had built this summer but there were still lingering doubts, obviously. You won't find any posts from me bigging our midfield and slating yours a few months back.

We looked bloody knackered because we were playing a very tiring game (one like you say, you lot are not able to play), i.e. closing players down all over the park. Unfortunately, we did not have the luxury of a second goal to allow us to express ourselves more therefore we kept fighting the tide. I was really impressed with our defenders and midfielders today for the effort they put in. Apart from a moment's lapse in concentration and a jammy toe-poke that Reina got finger tips to, all that effort would have equalled 6 points.

For feck's sake - no one in a red shirt was "the best passer". You didn't keep the ball at all and mostly hoofed it when you had it.

peter, you're an Arsenal fan and I'm a Liverpool one. We obviously agree to disagree. Alonso's short and long passing, plus his foot on the ball when we had it was invaluable for us. And annoying for your team.

For all the lovely looking one touch passing, most of it was irrelevant. Passes have their values too. And for your information...ALONSO DOES NOT HOOF (everyone else might, but he doesn't).

We do play a game where we close down players - you got that wrong, what I said was that denying space in our defensive third is not a natural part of our game, as we play a more expansive game than you lot.

Yes, if you had got a second goal, it would have killed the game off.

Luck worked both ways. You lot were lucky when they missed a couplde of sitters with Fabregas and Bendtner.

I expected a 0-0 draw out of this game (despite everyone predicting how they'd muller us). The one thing any armchair manager can predict is that Arsenal don't like it up 'em. We were breathing down their necks for at least 80 mins of the game, and despite STILL going through a horrendous lack of belief, we were doing alright.

Arsenal don't like playing the game in their half and we made sure we kept them there, even if it meant they kept the ball.

In a normal season I would say this was a great result under the lack of belief we're playing under. However, due to results gone by....its still a good result despite our lack of belief. We're still not out of touching distance from the top. Gerrard's getting some of his game back and Agger/Torres aren't far from starting more games.

I must have been watching a different game to you, because in the one I was watching, the ball spent most of the time in Liverpool's half, and hardly any in Arsenal's. They played much, much better football than Liverpool, and Liverpool are very lucky that Arsenal can't score into an empty net.

Liverpool were completely outplayed, whether the great Alonso was on the pitch or not.

Lucky to get a draw, at Anfield no less.

This team has fourth written all over it.

Dumpstar

You made good time back down to London after the match. One and a half hours? The M6 was free?

I might "agree to disagree" if here was anything to argue about. In this case you're talking rubbish - you were comprehensively outpassed all game.
Correct.

No idea why he is on about Alonso, he was ok. Made couple of good long passes, thats it. Liverpool didn't really pass the ball in midfield that much for him to show his range.

Arsenal's one touch passing was great. One big mistake Wenger made was only Adebayor up front. Rosicky was largely absent from the game and he should played Walcott or Benter from the start to add more presence up front.

I must agree.

So do I. But Arsenal will do that to everybody this year.

Fortunately there's more to the game than just that. If Torres and Alonso had stayed fit all game Liverpool would have won I reckon, Xabi made a big difference when he was on and I would single out Mascherano today, he was simply magnificent.

Well played Arsenal though, fecking scary how good these kids could become in a year or two.

Have you ever seen 'One flew over the cuckoo's nest'?

They wouldn't let you in to that ward, you're too thick.

Carragher was embarassed today as he was at Everton. I know scousers have trouble differentiating between humans and chickens but if you can't see that you really must be thick.

If, if, if...If Van Persie had been playing, Arsenal would have easily won...

Torres was not showing much when he was on the pitch before his injury.

He was awarded man of the match by sky you stupid blinkered clunt.

Thicko.

I guess pulling people down in the box and clammering into opposing players who have the ball gets rewarded sometimes.

I thought Carragher was awful. Lucky to be on the pitch at the end.

Its being under-mentioned in all this hyperbole, but Alonso was the best passer all day today. He kept us ticking and made a pleasant change from Sissoko's adventures. Its not a surprise we're doing quite sh*t while he's been out. :(

Alonso did nothing today. There was not one decent passing movement by Liverpool so how did Alonso change things?

Now that Alonso's been re-injured after being rushed back I guess you can keep on using the "we'd be brilliant if we had Alonso playing" excuse for another couple of months.

I give up, thank feck half term finishes today.

Well one of either you, or the pro's watching the game and making the award knows nothing and is talking bollocks then. When do you start your new contract?

Thank you Mystic feckin Meg... What if Agger had been marking him?

What a load of horseshit.

Oh, sorry, I was just continuing with your excuses for not winning.

Look like when someone does the same thing back to you, you turn into a blathering idiot.

Just watching highlights on MOTD2, just reminded of Carraghers kind of goal saving header in the first half. He adjusted his body as if he was stretching to save it, for the cameras, one of his last ditch clearances ... Hes a poof...

I think we'd have won because we toom the lead and were looking dangerous on the break, which is how to beat arsenal as everbody who knows football will understand. Alonso getting injured unsettled the side and changed the game.

Whereas YOU said 'If Van Persie hadn't been injured Arsenal would have won easily'.

Which clearly makes you sound like a silly cnut.

When you go back to school revise your reading, spelling and general literacy, Then come back on here and show me where I said that... :wenger:
"...Alonso was the best passer all day today..."

You're the idiot that said it.

Huh. I think your insane over-reaction to everyone's posts is making you look like a silly cnut. Also, I was mocking you, dipshit.

Matters not whether a player started the game or was injured during the game, it's still just a bullshit excuse to say "it would have been different if..." from the supporter of a completely outplayed team.

When Alonso was injured, Liverpool were already the second best team on the pitch. Accept the draw like a man.

Jesus, Liverpool fans are such a bunch of crying little cnuts it's amazing.

You're giving them too much credit and respect.

Hopefully, our players don't go there next weekend with the same mindset as you...

Obviously they wont. don't be such a gimp

How often do you reckon any of the big four will lose at home this season, even to each other? It's unlikely to happen. A draw would be a good result for us, a win would be a terrific one.

Le'Arse were streets ahead of Liverpool today. No one could have complained if they'd won by a couple of goals

Murphman is in top form seeing his team's title challenge evaporate once again around the time we switch the clocks back.

You made good time back down to London after the match. One and a half hours? The M6 was free?

I live in London, been supporting Liverpool since 1980 (glory hunter) and have supported them through the good times and bad. I've been to a handful of prem games when I could make it and am always on the lookout for tickets because getting access to season tickets is a f*cking nightmare.

Now put your self important cock away because we don't want to see it in these forums you muppet. Thank God schools are opening tomorrow.

Possession:

63.2% to 36.8%
