Seattle Sounders vs Manchester United - Pre-season Friendly

Wasn't the bad kick leading up to the double chance the only time he gave the ball away? Haven't seen anything wrong with his distribution so far really.

a couple of times, early on, he rolled the ball out to his defenders, who were under pressure, and this caused some very unnessasary stress on them and himself.

Lindegaard always has the expression of an office employee with a speaking role in 24. Checking the other people out whilst pretending to work.

Only managed to catch it from 20 mins onward but I'm impressed with Lindegaard, Anderson and Young. Young reminds me of Nani in a lot of ways. Anderson looks to have been told to dictate the game and all the players, even Giggs, give him the ball if they can. Hopefully Fergie has got him down for a big role this season.

I really hope so. I've said it alot that I reckon this will be his season when he finally makes that big step up.

I've really enjoyed the first half, hope second half is as good.

4) Talked about Hendrix. +points for paddy

He looks like a Nazi war officer.

Missed the first 20 minutes but up for the rest. Not a bad game so far. :D Glad I got up, well it is United after all. Least we don't have to do it for the whole season!!! ;)

It's hard to believe that Anderson was once hyped as one of the most promising youngsters in Europe - a potential world-beater - and he cost the best part of £20million.

I'd honestly rather have Gibson in the centre, at least he can control a football.

its just a pre season friendly mate, calm down. Enjoy it for what it is.

feck he really does look like Mussolini. There's actually a poster on here called IL DUCE.

I've got a feeling that will be the case. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but it's quite telling that Giggs has been told to give him the ball even when he can progress up the pitch himself. It's exactly how we played with Scholes. Anderson's not disappointed either, he's looked eager to impress in both games.

Sir Alex on Berbatov:

“You know it’s interesting – maybe what they’re saying is he’s not sprinting full out 40 yards all the time all over the place in the way, say, Rooney does or Tevez does. I can understand people saying that because he’s a very economical player. He’s like Teddy Sheringham in that way. He drifts into spaces, his movement is off the ball but, when you actually do the statistics, he is as high as anyone in the team….. his pace is very good, he’s got wonderful balance, and he’s got great vision.”

Owen and Hernandez movement is off the ball. It's even superior to Rooneys by a long way. Compared to those two Berbatov's movement isn't half as effective, hence the reason he relies so much on his first touch.

Amos on for Lindegaard
Rooney, Park & Diouf on for Owen, Giggs & Kiko

Aye, last season he still struggled a bit away from home but the team did collectively alot of the time. At home last season he was generally brilliant. That Everton game towards the end of the season he was absolutely amazing in.
