Shanghai Shenhua vs. United [Preseason Friendly]

I've only watched the match in little bursts (newborn baby) but Bebe has looked so much more dangerous than Macheda did. He's making space, getting shots away and hitting the target too...

Hernandez replaced Macheda though, and they seem pretty similar.

Macheda gets it wrong and he starts doubting himself. Bebe gets it wrong and doesn't let it bother him.

The surprise comes from people writing Bebe off so very early, not just from becoming a United regular, but of actually possessing any talent. He's shown glimpes of his potential in the past, it's no real shock to see some of that coming together in a match, albeit still very raw.

Whatever the case its nice to see him come back from serious injury.

Seemed like forever it was me and maybe Raoul the only ones defending the kid.

There's loads of people that have never written him off and just like a few bad games didn't make him shit 1 good one against Chinese opposition doesn't make him good.

Eating chicken. Watching Bebe. Doesnt get much better than this.

Maybe the real bebe got stolen while he was in turkey and this is a clone they made from him? They justforgot that the real bebe can't cross

Exactly. I still put it down to the money spent in relation to not buying a coveted CM. Bebe was used as a spacegoat in my opinion when in fact he wasnt any worse than say Obertan or Diouf.

I've defended him a little bit, especially lately, but I've seen you at it a lot more then I have bothered.

You can see it from 'The Bebe Thread', or the one about his loan. I remember loads of posters writing him off after no more than 3 games. There's no telling what will come of his career, but three games to judge him on is incredible for someone coming out of his situation, with so little professional experience.

i'm pretty sure some wrote him off before he kicked a ball!

He ticks a good few boxes for a forward. He is built like tank, nice bit of pace, stinging shot and a good percentage of his shots actually hit the target.

He just needs a run of games to develop his touch and that. I dont see him as a winger for the future, so crossing is not that big a deal. He will have a career in the game for sure, just depends on what level. Hell if Obertan can play for Newcastle, that is proof right there!

Good workout. Moar goals wouldve been great.. but its all good.

Mandy's been showing a bit of cleavage.. Still miss Hayley.
Bring her back Glazers

The Dark Knight Rises indeed. Ladies and Gentlemen, Bebe has arrived.
