They both wear the Adidas f50 with the moulded triangle studs, seemed as though they were the problem in a newly laid pitch
does that mean messi would've struggled with soton away?
it wasn't even a midweek fixture in the winter

It's also claimed that he was merely subbed at half-time. Wait n' see, I guess.
It's bullshit you idiots.
Shinji Kagawa was hauled off at halftime after annoying coach Alberto Zaccheroni with one too many stepovers, the last of which left him in a heap as he tripped over his own feet.
United midfielder Paul Scholes claims the club are “lucky” to have Japanese playmaker Shinji Kagawa following his £17 million summer arrival from Borussia Dortmund.
Kagawa has enjoyed an instant impact at Old Trafford, with Scholes admitting that he adds quality and flair to the United team.
“Shinji is a top class player who did great in Germany and we’re lucky to have him.” Scholes said. “He is just a clever footballer who gets into those great positions where it’s difficult for other teams to pick him up.
“He’s always on the move which makes it easier for the midfielders to find him and he really fits in with the way we play.
“It’s important that he links up well with the midfielders and centre forwards and he’s already shown he’s clever enough to do that. He’s very intelligent and someone we all enjoy playing with.”
Sick and fecking tired with fecking injuries.
Bollocks to International football as well. fecking cnuts. feck it.
So Carrick, Cleverley & Anderson are likely to start against Wigan.
Think we're more likely to see Hernandez/Welbeck playing with Van Persie in a 442. Ideal opportunity for Fergie to give them game time. This is assuming Kagawa cannot play.
Kagawa was left out by Japan coach Alberto Zaccheroni for the 1-0 win as a precation after suffering a problem with his lower back.
The classy attacker is confident the problem is not serious and does not expect to be on the sidelines for too long.
"I felt a twinge in the back during practice when I was on the ball. I had some treatment but didn't want to risk causing the team trouble by playing," Kagawa told Kyodo news agency.
"Obviously it's a shame I wasn't able to play... It's not that serious and I don't think it will keep me out for long."
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will be hoping Kagawa will shake the problem off in time for Saturday's Premier League clash with Wigan and the start of the Champions League next week.
Sources have said that the Japanese star returned to United’s Carrington training base still feeling discomfort in his back following a 12-hour flight from Japan to England on Wednesday.
The club’s medical staff are now taking steps to get to the bottom of the intermittent back problems suffered by Kagawa since starting his professional career.
The 23-year-old is regarded as a major doubt for Saturday’s home clash against Wigan Athletic as he undergoes further assessment.
The fresh blow to Sir Alex Ferguson’s plans comes as Robin van Persie is also unlikely to be risked at the weekend after being subbed at half-time in Holland’s win over Hungary on Tuesday with a thigh problem.
It is understood that the Dutchman will undergo a 48-hour assessment as United adopt a safety-first policy because of his chequered fitness record.
Ferguson’s new injury dilemma comes as he prepares the team for Saturday and the return of the Champions League group stages next week without Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young and long-term absentees Phil Jones and Chris Smalling.
Javier Hernandez, who has been moved down the striker pecking order following Van Persie's arrival, will come into contention for a starting spot against Wigan, with Danny Welbeck almost certain to lead the line.
United are particularly wary of Kagawa’s back problem in light of his past fitness issues.
The attacking midfielder felt a twinge during training, and despite treatment, he was eventually withdrawn from Japan’s team shortly before kick-off against Iraq in Saitama, a game they went on to win.
Speaking on Wednesday before boarding a flight back to England, Kagawa said the problem was “not serious” and added: “I think I can come back [to play] soon. I have to consult my medical staff and do my best until the next match.
“It may be due to travel and fatigue. I can get by if I take good care of my body. I’ve learned a good lesson from this.”
The lightweight 5ft 7in midfielder, who has started all three of United’s league fixtures following his summer move from Borussia Dortmund, added: “After moving to the Premier League, I’ve realised that I need to limber up and strengthen my body trunk.
“Tough games are going to start and I will have to fight for a regular spot. I want to go out in perfect condition.”
