If Sir Alex will bench every player he sings because some of the caftards thinks they're not good enough, soon we gonna have the best bench in history of this club.

He's gonna be alright. Needs more regular game, without injury.

Very good on the ball, needs to add a bit of stamina, might be a bit of a liability on the left with Paddy.

Don't think he was played in his favoured position so it's understandable if he doesn't look at his best.

Coming from Dortmund's style of football to United's will take time to settle into.

Thought he played well today. Think he is a bit low on confidence, and he just needs to be more incisive. A very classy player though.

Did well and looked much more ready for 90 minutes. He looks comfortable on the left wing drifting in as well. However, in the second half, probably needed to be more incisive and not get caught up playing too many tippy tappy balls with Cleverley. Needs to put in more incisive passes/crosses to create chances. Almost had a goal too with a sweetly struck shot saved by reina.

Lets not forget this was his first derby too, i dont think he will of been ready for the pace and roughness of the game.

Before in Germany the dortmund v schalke and bayern games are probably the closest too it, but i dont think they match at all in comparison.

Kagawa will definitely get there though, i have no doubts. He just needs time to settle in and get used to the league - next year he will be a star IMO

He looked good when he got into central positions but got pushed off the ball too easily. Maybe he could've had more protection from the ref but he'll have to improve that aspect of his game. On the wing his defensive contribution will have to improve as well. On the ball he's got obvious class. He'll need more time here to really get going.

There's some moments where he shows very good strength and his heading is pretty decent, its just a fitness issue for me.. if anything the things he's doing poorly is the stuff he should be exceptional at i.e. his decision making in the final third wasn't great and some sloppy one touch play where he lays it off in the air instead of along the ground, making the pass harder for his team mate. Little sloppy things like that.. will be cut out once he's fully fit and I'm sure he'll look to be slightly more direct in and around the box once he settles.

Thought he did well, helped us take control of the game, close to scoring as well, on a few occasions. Will be very key for us if he keeps getting games, he's fantastic on the ball. Kind of unfair to compare his strength to wisdom, but he does need to add a bit of muscle. Once he does that, or just stronger on his feet, he'll be a key player for us.

He was bloody awful today. Gets pushed off the ball far too easy. Needs to hit the gym and get built up.

He has the touch and vision. So a good prospect but it was quite a lot of money looking at him right now.

It seems like he's bullied but he still keeps possession most of the times using his little turns. I wouldn't worry about that right now. We need to get many players make forward runs so that he gets to pick a pass. He had a decent game today but this is nowhere near his best. He is always asked to play a pass to a static player. Unless his team mates make defense stretching runs we'll never see the best of him. Almost scored twice today, very unlucky not to get one. his movement is really good. Only a matter of time before he becomes a true asset

Ridiculous.

He was neat and tidy, kept us ticking along with the other midfielders. A lot more to come from him.

I don't think it has anything to do with bulking up, that's early nineties bollocks, you don't need to be strong to play in this league.

The problem is he isn't making key passes and he isn't beating players, which is what he was good at at Dortmund. He's just sort of keeping the ball quite well and not doing anything with it or really creating anything, that's the problem.

Two months out with a knee injury and people expect him to be an instant world-beater. He'll come good, give him a bit more time to settle and a good run in the side.

That's a good assessment of his play so far for us but I don't think it applied today at all. He was very good in possession, seemed confident on the ball and was unlucky not to score, he also offered Cleverley and Carrick a different option throughout. We struggled to hold the ball when he came off and we looked much more comfortable on the left than the right with both Young and Valencia.

I really hope to see him in the center with Carrick and Cleverley at some point. I know with the strikeforce we currently have that isn't likely to happen that much but I do think it could be very effective.

He did fine, drifting in from the left actually looks like it has some potential when Rooney is back in the side.

Absolute bollox.

He had a good game. He is clearly not strong enough for the prem but that comes with time. Getting a player like him for 15mil or so is a real bargain in today's market. How anyone can believe otherwise is beyond me.

Linked up well, always available, has an eye for a pass. He'l be much better in his 2nd season.

Thought he did quite well on the left side cutting in. Was heavily involved in our first goal and also had a good strike on goal saved by reina. Could have been more incisive with the passing/killer balls in the second half though. Faded a bit but looks like he is getting better by the game.

feck off.

He's still adapting to the physical side of the league, but that didn't make him awful. He did very well, linking up well and nearly scoring.

He was good. People will talk about him being weak but I thought he came out well out of most - no, not all - physical encounters. He has the ability to control and keep the ball which are very valuable anywhere on the pitch, and play a positive part when we are under pressure. He's a super player and it will be a darn shame if we don't find a way to get the best out of him.

He was good, and was better than both Young and Valencia. I was impressed with his defensive work, he covered Evra very good, and tracked back all the time.

He'll be a better player in a season when he figures out the English game. He still wants too much time on the ball and he was taking risks in areas there was no need to, but you can tell he's a class act waiting to happen.

He had a poor game. Gets pushed off too easy centrally.

But too too early to write him off. The moments of quality come through in between too.

What's with him gassing like Ando after 60 minutes every game, btw ?

Why not ?

I mean he will improve i know, but how does that make his performance today any better ?

People see players in black and white so often.

I'm pretty certain he'll turn out to be an amazing player for us. You can see flashes of class, he just needs some time.

Today will have been a vital experience for him, in terms of understanding the pace and ferocity of our league and key matches like the derby. There is more to come from him as he develops more experience of our league. Nearly scored a belter as well which drew a good save.

I do think he did well out wide, but his best position is in the center and I hope to see him there more often. I think him behind one of Hernandez, RvP, or Rooney with Carrick and Cleverley behind him could be deadly.

This is the kind of player he is. He gets involved in quick one twos and tries to release his team mates. He doesn't do fancy footwork or doesn't shoot long rangers. His first touch is amazing and his passing is top notch. He's like a smaller & faster version of carrick with better dribbling.

Yes, it is. But when he comes centrally in games where we haven't stretched the opposition team enough, he gets pushed off the ball too many times and too easy in this league.

In a High intensity Liverpool game, can see where SAF was coming from playing him wide.

His fitness doesn't seem great either right now and Welbeck did a lot of work defensively today too.

Because he still played well. You're the one seeing things in black and white.

I think Kagawa's biggest Problem is that there is not that much movement in United's game. When he got the Ball in Dortmund his mates would move towards him in order to play some short pass combinations.
At United the movement is more static, making it a lot harder for him.

Yes he did. But you can't keep trying to turn and get caught in possession/pushed off the ball. He did ok with some of the link up play but he gave the ball away far too often to be anything other than awful.

Yes he will get better and he has all the attributes other than strength but don't say he had a good game today when he clearly didn't.
