He carries the ball predominantly with his right foot and he's more likely to hit passes of that side too.. he's obviously very capable on his other foot too in terms of dribbling, crossing etc but definitely favours the right.

I think that no matter how two-footed you are, there's always gonna be one foot that you prefer. That's why no player truly is two-footed. The likes of Kagawa is about as close as we get. The fact that a lot of people still think that he's left-footed, just shows you how good he really is. There's no other player like that in our team. Not even RVP.
He definitely is but Reus is a different kind of threat. He's much more direct than Kagawa and less of a team player. He's also a little more wasteful but the lad has a thunderous shot.
Agreed, although when you're two footed, you have a preference on a certain foot for different tasks or different situations on the pitch. Like I enjoy taking long range shots with my left foot/finishing in general but even though I can dribble on either, my default foot for dribbling is right unless i want to confuse a defender. I couldn't chip a goalkeeper with my left with great consistency.. and set pieces, I feel comfortable with right even though I can take both.
I'd say most ambidextrous players have a foot which they have total confidence in but enjoy and depend on being able to use their other with very high level of confidence too... without it they'd feel abit lost and restricted in their performance.
Nice to see the hype surrounding Kagawa finally being warranted.Such an intelligent player in the oppositions half and seems to play better when we have energetic runners in the team who like to play one two's and set off I.e welbeck,rooney,cleverly etc. The pass to welbeck before His hat trick goal was class too.
I think he's a great player to have against teams that park the bus.

His second goal, for me, was arguably the goal of the season so far. It didn't have the power and drama of Rooney's goal but what it did have was intelligence and creativity. The only other player in recent memory I could see scoring a goal like that was Cantona.

It was a good goal in the way Nani's chip in the 8-2 vs Arsenal was a good goal. An easy chance but a cool as feck finish.
The second was beautiful crafted and finished no doubt but in terms of being one of the best of the season, Rooney's goal at the end was superior as was Rafael's last week. It's not even really close to being our goal of the season. On the evidence of Kagawa it might not even be his best goal of the season if he continues like this.
It wasn't that easy, his first touch was brilliant, then he accelerated through the defence and clipped in over the keeper with no room to spare. I mean it wasn't Giggs v Arsenal in the Cup but it was hardly easy.

fecking hell. His 2nd goal was nothing special, it was a cool finish and very cheeky but it wasn't a great feat of technique, it was a tap in from about 4 yards out ffs.
The impressive thing was that he had the balls to use a bit of guile and finesse rather than smash it as hard as he could, but it wasn't even the best goal we scored yesterday (and probably the easiest of the 3 goals he scored) let alone goal of the fecking season.

He took the piss and had the defender and keeper going totally the wrong way. It wasn't goal of the season or a hard chance but the way he finished it made it a brilliant goal. It reminded me of those penalties you see when they dink it, a penalty isn't exactly hard but still it's a classy finish.
That were the third goal though.

Kagawa is no Cantona, but he's showed us very nice stuff in the last third that will come in handy against the bus parkers in this league. But you put it better than I ever could so I just leave it at that.
Yup. Just the way he fooled the goalkeeper and their centerback the wrong way with a mere body movement, before cooly slotted in. Then they could only watch the ball looked like going wide, but just trickling in on the far post.
The goal is not that good on a .gif. You have to watch the build up to it. Everything/the play went fast, and then an unexpected sudden change of pace on how he score, just make it look extremely cool. It's like that Matrix movie, when Reeves being shot.
It's also worth noting that Kagawa himself is not satisfied with his United career so far. Celebrating like mad shows a certain degree of confidence that he probably doesn't feel that he deserves to show us just yet. It's typical Japanese humbleness, really. I noticed this trend when I was playing university football there. The weaker players never showed even a short moment of happiness, even when they had a great game. It was especially hilarious when one of the younger students was called off the bench. He had to show gratitude, while still not showing how happy he really was. It's one of the most awkward moments I've seen in my life. I can't even describe it
He was like: "Huh, me?! Wow!" and then took a quick glance at his other team mates on the bench(who probably were pissed off for not being chosen). He then stood up quickly with the most confused grin on his face, just before it struck him that it might look like he was gloating. So he quickly returned to his "serious face", and started to warm up. While running up and down the sideline, I could occasionally hear him talking to himself with a low voice, saying things like: "Wow, I was chosen to play.. This is going to be awesome", just loud enough for his coach/captain to hear it. I guess it was important to still show how much he appreciated this opportunity

If used properly, I think Kagawa could be a great player for us. Hungrywing's Rvp/Rooney comparisons are appropriate.

I wonder how many goals he'll finish the season with now. Five goals isn't bad, considering his injury and being played out of position. He could hit 10 goals and get a few more assists yet IMO.

I was there Saturday. He actually started poorly, but boy did he make up for that. The through ball to Rooney (where the keeper wipes him out) seemed to give him a huge shot of confidence. After that he caught fire, super cool finishes for both.
Ironically I've been waiting for his long shooting talent to emerge, did know these types of finishes were in his locker. Great work, and hopefully we'll see him kick on now

Did he kiss the badge for his second? I noticed something similar in the fact that he looked straight at Rooney for his second and gave him a huge hug. That for me is brilliant.
I like the chemistry between Kagawa and Rooney. Both are sharp players with good vision in the final third and acceleration.
Good game from him. Loved all the small one two passes in and around the box. We just seems to find space and players with ease at times. Well taken goals aswell. That second calm pass into the net was my favorite
The two of them (plus one other) behind RVP would be devastating if they have more games together.

Agreed, that's the type of football he was playing at Dortmund so it's good to see he's finally bringing it to United after a slowish start (hampered by injury).
The problem I saw from the Norwich game was the lack of option on the left wing throughout the game as Kagawa drifted into his AM role. I checked out the heat map after the game and his average position was in the hole, about 10 yards away from Rooney who was also playing in the hole.
We looked more of a threat when Danny came on because he gave us an option on the left, albeit still tucked in. I can't really see how we can play Kagawa in a formation with Rooney and RVP and it working well unless he starts alongside Carrick.
