Shinji Kagawa

Which means he'll start less than half as much as he did last season, unless Rooney gets injured long-term...

If we're not gonna use him, then sell him back to Dortmund. He's far too good to be on the bench.
Do you support Manchester United or Shinji Kagawa?

people should also remember what the likes of Oscar, Mata and Aguero did? didnt take too long for them to settle in so relative to that he hasnt done well. He should have done better. But we will be patient with him and hope he will come good just like we have been patient with Anderson, hopefully the end result will not be different.

Or remember a player like Silva who struggled to come to terms with the pace and strength in the League his first season...

And he wasn't even played out of position.

No but I doubt Barca fans would be calling for Iniesta to be dropped or played wide left and the entire team to be built around Rooney despite him not looking all that good
If he wanted to leave them twice they well might.

There's still hope for him if we decide to ship out Rooney at the end of the season, but by then it might be too late.

Nani----Kagawa----Januzaj
-----------RvP-----------

He isnt a left midfielder, and he cant play in his best Role as Rooney drops in that hole. Tough task for him, he is very talented, just cant fit in currently.

I don't think it's significant that he's not starting today, if Rooney was out it'd be a different matter.

Excited for Adnan. Had a feeling he'd play as Moyes seems to be a big fan.

Feel sorry for Kagawa. Don't think he deserved to be hauled off last week. Don't think Moyes has really given him a fair chance. Others have been afforded a lot more slack than Shinji.

Say he does leave, then we need to sign 2 more players who can play in the hole to replace Rooney and Kagawa, no?

It doesnt look good, but you'd think Nani would teach people not to jump to conclusions with who is leaving

I fear for him now. I think he must be annoyed Rooney stayed/in good form. He needs that role in the middle of the pitch. His best way at this moment seems to be to hope he subs on for Rooney

Would have been annoyed had it been Young or Valencia who had started ahead of him. As it is not too bothered

Most of the people who are big Kagawa supporters say he isn't a good left winger, yeah? And Rooney's in better form than he is. Hard to expect him to be dropped. He just has to take his chances when they come.

I don't think this is really a big deal. I've no problem him being on the bench for a very talented young player we have who has been bright in all his appearances so far. I'd be more worried if people like Young were being played over him.

Exactly, if Rooney was injured it'd be significant - because he's clearly the second best player behind the striker, but it's easily debatable that Januzaj offers more than him on the left in this league.
It's official: Moyes is retarded.
ffs

Still not fit from the Summer... :wenger:

Also, Moyes is showing Kagawa that if you take your chance in the first team as Januzaj has done then you'll be rewarded for it.

The more this lad doesn't play the better he gets when we have been average! I hope he gets a chance in the tip of our midfield as that's where he was devastating for Dortmund (devastating might be a little to much of a stretch but what the heck)

I'm a big fan of Kagawa, but on current form you can't really argue that Rooney deserves to be starting ahead of him (as much as I dislike Rooney). Kagawa has proven over and over that he's simply inefficient on the wing, so not much point playing him there. Tough luck for him, but hopefully he wants to fight for his place and prove Moyes wrong when he actually gets a chance centrally.

As much as I love Kagawa, I can't argue with Rooney, Nani and Januzaj today. Kagawa has a fight on his hands to forge a career here but that's to be expected and he is capable.

Quite a sensible post there - Danish people tend to be sensible.

I too dislike Rooney, but on current form, he deserves to play ahead of Kagawa. That said, I would prefer to sell Rooney and play Kagawa as number ten as I think he will improve our play in the long run. He's a better short passer, has better technique and I think (assume) he will assist more. Rooney will probably score more.

He must be gutted not to get a start today, but you've got to trust Moyes in this instance I believe. I hope he does get more game time, but feels like another wasted talent.

There's a crazy amount of love for Kagawa in here despite him being very underwhelming at this club so far.

Maybe he just doesn't suit the PL and Moyes knows that? He wouldn't be the first talented player not to.

As far as i can recall Moyes hasn't subbed Kagawa on once since the season started, so that would be unexpected.

He didn't get a place when Rooney was out injured and for all hsi good form, has he been a playing like a brilliantly creative No 10 since August?

Giggs, Young, Adnam, arguably Shinji is viewed as inferior to all of them in Moyes' eyes at this moment and that won't be tolerable for much longer.

Yup I hope he goes back as well. I guess that makes me a bad united fan...I am happy with that.

I think a lot of people on here (myself included quite often) are guilty of underrating Rooney - particularly his number of assists (which has been quite high in past seasons, if I'm not mistaken) is often overlooked because people think he should be scoring instead. With Rooney's newfound ability to take good free kicks it gives him another plus, as we don't have other right-footed players in the team that are good at it. That being said, I'm with you - given Rooney's history I'd rather shift him off and play Kagawa instead in the long run. But given the pressure Moyes is under (mainly from the media of course, but another bad result today would be more United fans starting to get concerned), I don't have any problem with him picking the strongest lineup he can right now.

 Why are you comparing him to a bunch of players that doesn't even play in his position? He's been wank when playing on the wing, so it's really about time that experiment was stopped. The only player ahead of Kagawa is Rooney.

Even when Nani was dropped completely, I never called our manager a retard, ergo I am no longer the Caf's biggest 'fanboy', feck you all.
