We only have 6 subs? Not sure if half the team can survive for 90mins in the first pre-season game in this kind of heat

I have a feeling under Moyes we may get the 'expected' line-up more often. Less Caf meltdowns when Fergie starts Jones and Giggs in midfield and Young behind the striker.

I don't think the Caf knows what to expect from Moyes yet though. There are three different formations on this page! It's all a learning curve.

It'll be interesting if Moyes goes with a 4-3-3 formation for these preseason games. It could signal a change in style and render all the "but we don't play that way..." comments redundant.

I really hope that Januzaj gets his chances this season, and these pre-season games are a great platform for him to impress Moyes.

A lot of blue in our training/warm-up gear this season.

I doubt he will once Kagawa's back. Anyone with eyes in their head can see that Kagawa's best behind the striker, which necessitates a 4231. Most of our first teamers fit best into that formation.

I'd be shocked if he did, we aren't exactly stocked in centre mid so moving to three in the middle would be a strange way for us to go.

Or..... because Welbeck is the only striker there.

Moyes generally lined up with a 4231 at Everton and I expect something very similar at United.

Well I havent seen as much of Januzaj as a lot of people here, but MUTV keep saying he's playing off of Welbeck and supporting him

MUTV always use a 4-4-2 formation on their graphics and shoehorn line-ups into it at times.

Just bought MUTV for the next month in the run up to the start of the season £6 isn't bad for the handful of friendlies, saves pissing around with streams.

Januzaj starting, Zaha bound to get some minutes. Oh Moyes you spoil us.

I don't think Cleverley will play right, and Januzaj behind Welbeck, I think they are wrong too, but who knows, they probably know more than us.

Wow, it seems like every single fan is wearing red kit.

Yeah, it could be right, but MUTV always use that same 4-4-2 template.

God I've just realised I have to listen to Paddy all pre-season again, I bet he says "your asking a lot" atleast 42 times today.

Agree completely.

It could even be that formation, Clev in the hole ahead of Carrick and Anderson - he has played there for England

Maybe, but they always use that same template and last preseason they did the same thing but when the game kicked off the formation was completely different.

Yeah, that's what I do as well.

I need a link to a decent river as well. The quality is shite on the tv:mad:
