Singha All Stars vs Manchester United

Nah. You're forgetting about Januzaj, Zaha and Lindgard and how they handled themselves.

They were very promising. In that game it felt like that season where Ronaldo was our best player at 18 because our team was poor. Januzaj has that same aura about him.

Zaha is a lot better than people are expecting. When I saw him live he had a quiet game but you could tell he was a top player. He'll make things happen this season if he's given the chance.

Lingard needs a good loan to a team that will play him.

But seriously, Moyes needs to address the midfield. Can't expect RvP with his efficiency and the defenders with goals from corners to dig us out of the holes this season like they did last. We need a consistent supply of decent chances to the strikers this time around.

-Januzaj and Fabio looked good.
-Nice cameo from Zaha, he's raw but can clearly use both feet which is useful.
-Amos beaten at near post for their goal, offside trap was beaten a few times.
-Buttner off with hamstring injury.

That's about it. Rest was typical first pre-season friendly.

A lot of positives to take out that game, mainly Januzaj, Zaha and Lingard.

If you'd won 8-0 playing grat football with all the goals from your younsters, I'd imagine you'd give a bit of a crap.
I think this is a fair point.

There's no getting away from the fact that we were poor in midfield and finished pretty badly. We should be putting this team away, but it is just a glorified training session at the end of the day - the chance to try some things.

RIO's tour diary lmao.

You're right. Singha All Stars are a decent side. A 1-0 defeat (away as well) to them is a no disgrace under Moyes.

In fact when Chelsea play them in a few days, I hope their players will be knacked from todays game so they won't put 4 past us.

Spare me your failed attemps at humor(or whatever that was supposed to be).

Bar 2-3 players, we started this game with a B/C-squad. We were also playing under awful conditions, against an all star team from a league that I'm sure that frankly none of you in here know anything about. Maybe the team we faced today isn't that bad? After all, most of us don't know jack shit about Asian football. I mean, there are still tons retards out there who think that Japan is a weak side as well..

We're in pre season, while they're in the middle of their season. This was arguably the most important game of their lives, but only a warmup game for us. To lose 0-1 isn't really a catastrophe, even though it's fair to expect better.

We've lost to Kansas City Wizards a year or two ago. Defeat here really means nothing at all.

 He'll be back in the hot seat by the next game after that showing.

Albert the kit man is now semi-retired, and has a new assistant who will do some of the aways in Europe this season, but Albert's still heavily involved. MUTV finally providing useful information :D

That gif still angers me. Fergie denied another shot at the CL by the Turkish cnut

Thats great about Albert, was wondering if maybe he'd retire, glad he's still around. Die-hard red is Albert!

Great news about Albert. Glad he's still here.

Well that was shit.

The contrast in opinions

With no VP, Rooney, Vidic, Evra, Rafael, Nani, Kagawa, De Gea, Valencia or Hernandez starting, I think we can quite easily say today doesn't have much bearing on anything!

Moyes out.

We want Fergie back.

Exactly...and it's given Moyes the opportunity to really see close up some of the other players in a relatively competitive game. Thought it was a great workout and Zaha, Januzaj and Fabio really put their markers down. Great for the depth of the squad....

having said that...still think we need a feck-off midfield signing...
