Seriously, can anyone explain those blondie days to me? I'm still in shock.

That's not an explanation, KM. I saw the pics. Why? What? How? When? are the questions to which answers which needed.
Midlife crisis, then he found yoga and other stuff.

I honestly can't understand how a 39 year old can run like that all game! Easily our most energetic player out there today (along with Rafael). Still chasing lost causes like a teenager trying to break into the first team. Amazing.
Not just physically but the hunger and desire to still be doing it after winning everything over the last 23 years. He doesn't show it in the same way as a Roy Keane but it's still obvious.
Maybe he will make a good manager one day.
I'll be surprised if he doesn't make a good manager. Him more than any of our other players.
Maldini, Tendulkar, Giggs
3 of a kind
Came in to this thread to say this, and saw Cevno's post - to elaborate:
Ryan Giggs has just played his 999th senior game of professional football - 931 for United, 64 for Wales, and I can only assume the other 4 are made up from Team Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics.
I wonder if Fergie will give him his 1000th against madrid? That would be a fitting occassion and you can almost guarantee he will have an absolute stormer against them.
That QPR goal is special. Even our own player falls over trying to keep up with Giggs.
Had a nice little tribute this morning on Sunday supplement. Henry Winter basically saying he's the greatest player of the modern era, how he is such a big influence on the rest of our players, still as driven as ever and along with Andy Dunn, believes he will become a good manager.
Told a story about how some local kids once got a day with Giggs and Fergie and after an hour or so it was Giggs they had to pull off the pitch, not the star struck kids. Such is his appetite for the game.

Just listened to this. Especially liked the observation that "He's the calm in the storm of matches these days. Matches are played at such pace, but you look at Giggs and he's thinking ahead of everyone else". Certainly true.
They also seemed to think he had a genuine chance of being United's next manager.

Me too. As long as he is used sparingly and not over played then I see no harm in having him in the squad. He clearly still has a lot to offer.
I'd actually take Giggs as our next manager - with a strong assistant. He is so intelligent and has a special aura.
I'd love that to happen.
And whats more, given his special talent for breaking records he would go on to break Sir Alex's record as longest term as a EPL Manager
I don't like change, I'm 55 now, so Giggs as Manager for the next 30 years after Sir Alex would just do me![]()
