SL Benfica vs. Manchester United

I hate this attitude. A players been playing shit all game, they score/get an assist, so all negative opinions are disregarded. Its retarded.

Hes barely played this year, and has been poor in this game. hes pushing 38 now, why is it stupid to believe this is his final season?

Yeah, because playing a shit game = the end of your career.

He had been poor up until the goal. I don't get what you're trying to prove.

That immediately changing things the moment things aren't going well is rarely the solution, and that our players can produce even when they're not at their best? If we're going to rest players, and we're going to involve all of our squad members (and we are), then it's inevitable we won't have a consistent level of fluency. So rather than the knee-jerk decision we trust our players to pull through and show that quality regardless...

That's not aimed at you, just those who wanted us to get Giggs off.

feck off with this shit. HE has been piss poor so far. As has Fletch and Giggs. Our whole CM is an embarrassment so far.

Jesus christ. An embarrassment.

Because the same logic was applied in 08'. It's called being knee-jerk.

HT....lucky to be even to be honest.

Midfield does not look convincing at all.

Get Berba and Owen on. Give Rooney a rest and save him for the chavs. 4-4-2 feck it...lets see if Carrick and Fletcher can do the job, because this 451 just seems all wrong.

It's complete retarded logic.

'Don't speak your mind. Things might change!'

Ours is the highest scoring game in Europe tonight.

Is there any centre back in the world who passes back to the keeper as much as Evans?

Every time he gets the ball, he looks confused, takes a look around, performs a slow 360 and passes back to whoever is keeping for us on a particular match day.

Can't wait to hear what keane has to say

Yeah tonight we are, just because we scored an equaliser is not going to change the fact the midfield have been fecking atrocious

This.

Seriously Carrick, Fletcher and probably Park need to come off for Nani, Anderson and Chico. Nani down the left, Ando and Giggs in the centre, Rooney in the hole and Hernandez up front and we're winning this game. End.

When they realise Giggs is a demi-god, do you think they will take away 11 of our Premier League titles, not to mention the rest.

I really don't understand the reasoning behind this mass rotation

HT. 1-1

I was gonna say we were simply disappointing in that half, but that goal has changed things. We gotta be understanding and realise that quite a lot of the players out there have had very little game time. There's a clear lack of match sharpness and it shows. But there's been a noticeable improvement and we should allow them to find their form. I don't expect subs yet.

It's really crazy just how slow we look compared to our opening PL games. We were going 100 miles an hour, now we're enjoying the view in the slow lane. Youth is where it's at.

Ref has been incredibly shit. Gave a yellow to Rooney for not much and doesn't feel like making basic calls.

Great to be level, but Fergie will be doing his nut in that dressing room. No matter if players are a bit rusty..some of that passing was schoolboy stuff...not 50,000 pound a week stuff

The Rooney yellow was to appease Jesus.

.

Pretty much what I meant. He largely had a poor half, that's about it. The goal can't gloss over it though it means he's slowly getting back into his groove which can only bode well for the second half as well as the upcoming glut of games. Great strike, mind.

Bah I was gonna rip into Giggs then he scored a bullet the old git:D

Typical United away performance in CL. Fergie is pleased with a point in all away CL group matches but then United was forced into attacking a bit more after conceding one. Lindegaard looks solid which is positive.

Chelsea. Sunday.

I'm not buying that at all. If anything this could just as easily prove counter productive by halting our great form / momentum.

Don't deserve to be drawing, but cracking strike from Giggs to get us back in it. Evra has been fantastic, constantly dragging us forward as ever, only real bright spark among our attacking players apart from Valencia whos been decent.

Rooney needs a partner up top, so we need Hernandez on for Fletcher. Giggs in the centre with Carrick, if Giggs' performance doesn't improve in 20 minutes then we can stick Anderson on. Carrick should improve hopefully with Hernandez on the pitch

Yeah, but that doesn't mean he needs to come off or his career is over either. He just had a poor half, that's it.

Ive had the opinion that this is his last season before the season even started. This game or any other future game wont change my opinion.

I never said this game is why i think he'll retire. You assumed.

 so true. Excellent observation. Acknowledging his improved form this season but still can't shake being the most awkard defender with the ball I've seen at united!

This. It's been a bit too much from Fergie I think. Especially Val and Fletch haven't played a consecutive game for the first team for quite a while now. Neither did Giggs Park or Fabio play much football for us.

It was kinda be expected.
