Sneijder - "Barca's lead is lucky"

I assumed that's the match you meant when you were talking about Shakhtar.

When exactly were they lucky against Espanyol?

You should stop assuming things and look at what's in front of you. Back in September. They were outplayed all game and scored after the keeper did a Barthez against Deportivo in the box and they won after a nonexistent penalty in the 90th minute.

Also the Shakhtar game you mention they were outplayed all fecking game. Instead of putting the ball outi n fair play due to the injured Shakhtar game, Bojan continued on the flank where he delivered a poor low cross. The keeper fumbled in picking up the easiest of balls which came to Messi behind him. He scored with an open goal. Shakhtar protested to Webb only to get a couple of yellows. After that they scored another which was a good goal but the manner of conceding the one before had a psychological effect on them surely.

Half a dozen and a bunch of highlights, in all honesty.

But to say they don't deserve their lead because they have fluked their way through most of the games is retarded, to say the least.

Where did I say any of that?

Did you see the goal Espanyol scored? Valdes gave it to them, so if you're calling theirs luck so was Espanyol's. And Xavi hit the bar. So clearly there was luck at both ends.

They played a half-strength team for christ's sake, they didn't even care about the match. It was like us against Fenerbahce.

Go ahead then, tell me these other 4 matches they were lucky in?

Racing Santander draw, Getafe draw, Villareal, Osasuna, Basel draw.

Did you just list the few matches when they only won by one goal, got a penalty or drew, without even watching the matches?

Against Racing: Henry, Messi and Iniesta were all rested. Tono made two cracking saves against Keita and Eto'o, the second was magnificent. Alves hit the bar. The penalty was spot on. Their goal was lucky, deflecting in. They deserved to win, but drew.

Against Getafe: Henry, Iniesta and Messi were all missing again. Eto'o hit the bar, and Pique nearly scored if it wasn't for a great save. Deserved draw really, if anything they deserved to win but not the other way around.

Against Villareal: Diego Lopez made a good save from Henry's one on one and a great save for Busquets' volley. Pique got sent off harshly. Villareal were just plain wasteful in front of goal from then on. Deserved win.

Against Osasuna: Messi hit the post and set up Eto'o brilliantly for the first goal in the first half. Alves did brilliantly to cut it back for Xavi's equaliser, and Messi's goal was brilliant. More than deserved.

Against Basel: Played a weak team. Costanzo made three great saves against Henry and one against Pique. Messi came on and scored a great goal. Pique hit the crossbar. Again, more than deserved.

The only game you could make a case for there was against Villareal, but that's more to do with them being wasteful, not even some great saves by Valdes but them just hitting it wide or over, but if you want to call that lucky fine.

But you're talking out of your arse mate.

That is enough for me to read showing that you only have seen the highlights or read a report on the game. Their goal was a low drive into the area where there were 3 of their players one of which send it on the opposite side of the keeper. They were looking for that kind of goal.

I have to go work now but before I go I should tell you that your efforts are laughable. Also when reading reports and watching highlights read or watch the other side as well.

Oh and the Pique sending off. Harsh?

Are you joking me? Oh aye he went straight in there to elbow him, didn't he?

Funny that, ignoring all those other matches.

It's not even that you're an arrogant prick, but you're an arrogant prick who doesn't even know anything.

Absolutely bizarre that you'd say they were luck against Osasuna, there was a thread about that match and everyone agreed it was a deserved win.

I watched the highlights against Racing, yeah I'll admit that. I did that against Basel too, the Racing match was when they were in rubbish form so I decided not to bother watching it the next morning and just watched Revista. They seemed to agree Barcelona were unlucky if anything. Funny that. Sky+ on every one of their matches though, every one.

I think you'll find luck is a two-way thing, and to call Barcelona lucky is absolute bollocks because you're clearly ignoring the times they either hit the bar or the keeper played a blinder.

Explain the theory of luck here: Late goals when Messi comes off the bench is not luck. Late goals when piling on the pressure is not luck. Hitting the woodwork is luck, bad luck at that.

wow,so much shit from atom.No surprise

It's not even that he talks bollocks, but it's that when he gets found out he just talks even more bollocks instead of admitting it.

Found out on what?

One piece of brilliance in hitting the woodwork doesn't mean they were good all game. That is where the highlights fail you dear boy. The game is 90 minutes. Bayer Leverkusen outplayed Real Madird in the UCL final yet they lost after one piece of brilliance by a man named Zinedine Zidane. It was the highlight of the game but didn't tell the story of the match. Barca has been great in many games and they deserve to be top because they have played some magic football, but they have been shit in some as well and have won or drawn due to luck. Bit like Livershite today.

I expect them to hit a bad run and blow their lead. If the squad is sustained without hitting any injuries they'd probably nick the Primera. They're far from winning the UCL. I see Madrid as the biggest threat.

I'd bet anything you haven't watched more than 2-3 full Barca matches. The rest are just highlights and reports. I've seen your posts. You try to be a type of e-guru who knows anything and everything. You spend your time falsely learning when something arouses and claiming to instantly know it. I was as sad as you when I was a kid too. I didn't do it over the internet though.

If Benitez leaves Liverpool I'd love to see him in Madrid.

Found out on talking bollocks for the sake of it. 'I've seen your posts'... I've seen yours too, you're one of those ones that creates an internet persona for themselves.

But they dominate every match they play in. In terms of possession, and in terms of chances.

I'm really at a loss how you could say they were lucky.

Funny that you only reply to that post, but don't reply directly to the matches because you know you were talking bollocks.

Oh well.

They are just about to destroy Gijon, leading 2-0 thanks to two goals by Eto'o. Fantastic play by Henry, Iniesta and Messi to set up the goals, they are such a joy to watch.

They are unbelievable at the moment to be fair. Lucky my arse.

atom, u should stop watching football altogether.

You obviously don't understand football, so why bother?

Dani Alves just scored a quality goal... they're unbelievably good in keeping possession, I'd say they have around 90% in the second half.
Sporting made it 3-1 though, good goal from 20 yards. Very entertaining game so far.

Eto'o hits the post. More goals to come soon.

Henry misses a sitter after another fantastic cross by Alves.

We shall see at the end of the season who understands football better.

By that you mean...what, exactly?

Predictions for La Liga in terms of points ahead of Madrid?

And then your predictions for how far they'll get in the Copa Del Rey and Champions League?
