At least he’s withdrawn from internationals to prevent him picking up something or it getting worse. Hopefully he’s ready for Brighton.

I suspect upping the intensity with Morocco has caused it.

He has been training alone and hasn’t trained with us yet, and having not played in recent Morocco games you’d expect him to need a month to get back into match fitness. Might come off the bench for a few games and then start a few games and come off after 60-65 minutes.
Get him some U23 football.
How long before one hard tackle against an opponent, who then rolls around like they've been shot, gets him a red card.
That tackle against Mbappe in the world cup in this country may well have got a red card, especially if it was on away ground. It was a great example of a hard, strong tackle and perfectly timed, only Mbappe tried to con the ref into giving a penalty/red card by rolling around, which will certainly happen in the Premier League with some of our inept referees.

I am being cautiously optimistic here but I think Ambarat will make our midfield almost a dominant one. We will be crushing teams.
Ole got us playing our best football with Fred and McT who are both defensive minded players whose best attribute is work rate.
With a player like Bruno, you need 2 players like that in your team IMO.
Now we have Casemiro and Ambarat who are infinitely more quality than Fred and McT, also more physical and more defensive.
I think we will be at our best balance wise, quality wisw etc because now we have exactly the players in the midfield that you need with Bruno.

Didn't he miss most (all) of pre season? And wasn't fit enough to play the internationals. Don't think he would be ready to start even if he was totally fit.
I hope he is fit very soon - him next to Casemiro would not be perfect but would solve numerous issues.
We are nowhere near physical enough, putting him in the middle, and moving Mount out wide at least for now (with Pellestri of the bench against tired legs) - would make best use of available options.

I think Ambarat is as close to perfect for us as it gets.
Two DMs with Bruno always should have been a blueprint.
Ffs our best midfield was McFred.
0 quality between them but energetic and defensive.
Casemiro and Ambarat, I dont wanna go ahead of myself but I think we will be amazing.
Again I dont wanna say too much, don't wanna jinx or anything but I have an amazing feeling
I'd also add to that the return of Mainoo adding further depth. I honesty think once we have a fully fit squad people will be pleasantly surprised by how good our squad is.
When is he due back because seems to be a suggestion it could be late September/early October. So maybe make bench for Palace or Galatasaray at home
I‘ll join you in the excitement! It’ll be great to have a press resistant midfielder at the base of the pitch, give Casemiro a bit more licence to play aggressively, and provide a platform for Bruno to run things.
Is it really true that McFred was our best pairing in recent years? It’s hard to pin down the good moments in recent years, I can barely remember what period you’re even referring to…
When we won 2nd place with Ole, the season before Ronaldo that was almost exclusively McFred and it worked. It freaking worked despite how limited both are. They gave Bruno the freedom to have a free role and play his game.
Now comparing McFred to Casemiro and Erikson is insulting to Casemiro and Erikson who are much better players but just as type of players McFred are and also Casemiro and Ambarat are, I think thats the perfect and best possible fit next to Bruno.
Defensive players that play with a lot of energy but also can pass. There arent that many elite ones in world football. We now have 2. Remains to be seen if Ambarat is elite but again I am cautiously optimistic.
Anyhow don't want to jinx anything, lets wait and see but I personally think it will just work and click so well immediately. But ya lets take it easy for now, lets wait and see.
From McFred to Casebat.
Unfortunately he won’t be ready anytime soon - he hasn’t played or done a pre season, had a back injury highlighted in the medical and was released by national team through injury.
He is never going to be ready for Brighton. Shame.

If anything I know teams won't be able to walk through all that. There's too much mongrel in this midfield so it fills me with great confidence with this kind of setup.
Issue is we need this same type of tenacity up front and so far only Hojlund provides that. If we can get x2 more Hojlunds then we're cooking.

Truth is we have no idea where he is fitness-wise.
He is of course the ideal
I was thinking more Amramiro but either or!
I think his excellent safe and steady passing will be a good balance with Casemiro and Bruno's riskier style.
I'd put money on him being at least on the bench.
Mount as the RW option with those 3 behind would work IMO. He would run all day and we’d be winning the ball higher up the pitch and with Bruno/Rashford/Hojlund as our main scorers we would be set.
Antony is a decent option as well but I feel Mount has a better final ball and is no way near as greedy and we’d be a better and more solid team with him.
Garnacho would push Rashford on the LW which would only help, I feel at times Rashford can be lazy so having a player like Garnacho right behind in the pecking order I’d hope it would encourage Rashford.
I like that idea but don’t think ETH has the balls to play Mount RW. Especially if and when Antony becomes available again. Casemiro and Amrabat should make us a lot more solid and if we play better football and win games then ETH will have to stick with that which then leaves Mount on the bench unless ETH does of course decide to play him out wide.
How anyone can fancy Mount or Bruno on the right wing astounds me. Totally destroys the balance. It’s also clear Antony has been playing with a massive weight on his shoulders so hopefully if cleared, we will see the best version of him because even the current version is far better for our system than shoehorning a midfielder to the right wing.
Rashford is definitely lazy and having Amrabats energy, workrate and game reading ability will definitely make us more solid. If mount can find his form he will still get minutes.
Many big teams have 60m players not on the best 11 so people shouldn’t get caught up in trying to shoehorn players in to a team just because he cost £X or because of his jersey number! Amrabat and Casemiro is an unreal base to build from. Bruno in front feeding a capable striker. I’m getting excited again at the thought of it.

ETH doesn't want his big money signing to go to waste yet he totally miscalculated how Mount would fit into our midfield. He thought Mount would be an upgrade on Erikson, similar profile yet fresh legs and more work rate. Well wrong, Mount is not that midfield player.
He is more in the mould of Thomas Muller, maybe even Frank Lampard. He can work as a RW IMO and ETH can save face.
Anyway, know its an Ambarat thread but overall point still stands.

Doubt it. Don't think he's played since the end of last season.
True - but if you think ETH is just going to throw him in after a few days training with the club and with recent injuries and no pre season for his first game since Conference league final then you will be disappointed.
Everyone clearly wants to see him but ETH will want him physically ready and definitely injury free before he starts.
More likely that Mount will be back.

This is crazy talk. Mount might fill in at RW but I highly doubt it. EtH is not stupid. He won’t give up on his plan after two games. Mount has been bought to play as a high no8 and to lead the press and that is where he will play.
ETH completely changed everything last year after 2 games because we started poorly.
The midfield with Mount clearly doesnt work and now we have a much better alternative in Ambarat and the chances are it will work.
That midfield with Mount isnt going to work, Casemiro will continue being alone on the island trying to close everything down by himself.
Some things are immediately obvious they wont be a good fit.
On the other hand I do think it will be immediately obvious the midfield with Ambarat will be a good fit.
